It's 30 seconds for me, sat with a stopwatch in my hands to check the exact timing. Dunno why they thought it's a good idea to make the gap between sentences so short.
Finally! Now I for example won't cringe every 30 seconds from prayers to Father. I like Randall Clark's story and even cried over it almost as hard as over Vault 11, but his "Daughter" (who was with me in all his caves and still tried to call me an ignorant idiot for thinking that he's just a person and not a God) is driving me insane. I could spew some nonsense about all other followers from DLCs that could repeat the same 5 voice files over and over again, but I doubt people will be interested in my TED talk. Really though, why in the name of the universe these "STFU" mods are so hard to find? Maybe except the ones for M&R Crier, he has more mods than I have patience to count them, thus it would be strange to not find any in the first 10 minutes of search.
Idle chatter by itself may not be bad, but the fact that they spout it out so frequently, coupled with them not having too many lines of it, is what causes it to become insanely annoying.
This sounds (no pun intended) absolutely glorious. I wish I had found this before I first played Honest Hearts.
One moment Waking Cloud and I are on a stealth mission to steal war totems, and the next thing I know, she's practically shouting: "Father, I ask that you guide this woman who is the vessel of your will..."
My first play-through of Honest Hearts will always be memorable, but mostly for all the wrong reasons.
I swear they did no testing when they made these DLC companions, I mean I would have even settled with a longer interval of time between the cacophony that these guys constantly provide. But as it stands, they run their jaws so frequently that they keep interrupting themselves with their own incessant chatter even mid conversation with each other, which is equally irritating as it is hilarious....actually it's more irritating than hilarious.
With titles like these, no wonder I couldn't find them.
From looking at their descriptions, these mods only increase the delay between the times when the companions say their chatter, while my mod just gets rid of it entirely (after they say it once), without the need to mess with the console or anything. Plus it takes care of both DLCs in one go.
I admit that it's still somewhat redundant, but I'd say that it's a little more convenient in its execution.
Also it takes care of companions' stealth responses in addition to the idle chatter, so there's that.
The tribals constantly babbling in cliche me tribal, this place sacred jibber jabber completely ruined Honest Hearts for me. I always found myself not exploring because they would pull me right out of the immersion and making me want to butcher them and scatter their body parts across the map as far as I can, and it ended up being another checklist to go through for the sake of completion and that sweet tommygun and skull helmet.
So umm heck yeah I'm gonna download this. Thx, friendly skunk person! =^_^= My next character's gonna be a low int psycho, so he'd definitely end up caving their heads in with a hammer and eating their brains without this.
