For people who are having issues with assets not being loaded when using mod organizers (MO2 for example):
Assets files were wrongly packed kind of; textures, meshes, etc. were packed in one data folder and they should be structured differently in order to work. Here's how it looks like:
Below there's the right structure in order for to game to read data properly. You just need to get rid of data subfolder and put it in the same directory where plugins are located. And then it should work properly.
I wanted to ask about the story (haven't installed the mod yet). It states I should play the mod AFTER finishing the Honest Hearts. Without spoilers, why is it? If the road is supposed to LEAD me to the Zion, shouldn't I take it as the main route to the location? Otherwise, what purpose does our character have to go to Zion again, this time manually through that trial?
I've reached Zion and yes, it's just a more exciting and fleshed out alternate route to Zion, complete with its own story about a dysfunctional gang of adventurers along with a few meticulously designed resupply stops and worthwhile views. The latter reminds me a bit of Red Dead. It has nothing to do with Honest Hearts' story
In that case why does it state "Complete the Honest Hearts DLC first, if you haven't already, but only if you intend to explore Zion Valley."? Why can't I use this route to reach the DLC and then complete Honest Hearts?
HH start by having players and a group of characters outside of the southern passage cave. Then move toward the bridge. Then it trigger the Whitelegs ambush. Moving across the bridge we meet Chalks. Moving toward the Dead Horse camp we would trigger two more.
Zion Trails and its mods focus on us having meet Chalks right outside of the southeastern road, near the ticket booth. So you see there's potential for bugs with skipping several activators from there back to southern passage cave.
Possible there's no bug if you choose to use ZT then trigger HH campaign... but we old veterans prefer playing it safe. We usually stopped right outside of the portal that would drop us into Zion... and going back the way we came, explore all the missed nooks and cranies.
You know, sometimes the journey beat the destination~
Can you make the Trail Boss outfit worn by Blinder Poke wearable? I tried getting it via console commands but it doesn't work. Is that the same as the Trail Merc outfit?
Also is there a way to make Diplomacy moddable with weapon mods?
I had fun with this, and there is a lot of good work in designing the worldspace, but it feels a little unfinished. Lack of map markers, large area of the road that are empty and without enemies. The NPCs weren't really helpful or had backstory about where they came from or why they were there. I reccomend it, but I would do it again, which is kind of a bummer because I really like how it keys in to the northern highway and connects to the Honest Hearts DLC, which itself is not that great of an addition.
It does line up nicely with the second quest in the Xanadu mod tho. So I can recommend both together

It's been a lot of fun to the end, thank you.
