Maybe. It's at least worth trying to patch it, although I personally won't invest the effort to do it unless/until there's an update with corrected meshes.

I've renamed Big Steel to 'Nemesis', in keeping with the Courier's thematic motive fitting with, "A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent." (to quote the character of Brick Top).
Neither does the bolt rotate on Millenia's L96 rifle... what I'm saying is, the animation nodes don't behave well with certain gun mods using existing reload or otherwise firing animations and this one uses default Colt Peacemaker animations for reloading. I honestly don't know why it doesn't work.
Yeah, I heard those animations are pretty neat, but I like to keep things simple and by default for as much as possible. I don't really use many mods myself.
One day I might remake it alongside the Colt SAA, which I currently have in the oven, but It'll take a while for me to complete it, since I'm currently updating an older project of mine, the Henry model 1860, which I'm planning to release sometime this summer, as well as a commander styled 1911.
Yeah, my 1858 is quality made and requires better PC specs. <-- I apologise, this sentence is not true! EDIT: The geometry count on my 1858 is actually irrelevant, you are not going to require a "better" PC to run this mod ;) However, I'm still not sure what causes the game to crash. The relatively high geometry count or the high quality of the textures don't play a major role in the performance of the game and therefore cannot cause crashes. I've used this weapon for a while during my last playthrough and I haven't experienced any crashes. I'm not using any animation enhancement mods or gameplay tweaks, that affect the .357 magnum revolver (My 1858 uses its animations) in any way and that's exactly why I don't understand why this mod would crash on your PCs. Currently working on a solution...
Same. I use a lot of mods giving new weapons to New Vegas and this is the only one that makes me crash 1/2 when i equip it... And i am using "quality mods" with no problems. Sadly had to uninstall this one. Would be cool if i had a solution to this !
About the supposed "too high quality model" issue, read the edited post above, that I've just edited. I'm terribly sorry, but I honestly don't have a goddamn clue, what is causing you crashes...
Could you give me a list of the mods, that you're using? Are you perhaps using Hitman's weapon animations?
