This is such a great mod, not only motivates you to have Rex as a partner for his versatility, but also; It makes him a unique companion.
A pity has been abandoned for years, because it had potential.

I love this mod... gives me an extra reason to side with the powder gangers at the beginning :D
though I would love to see Gabe as an option... ... and if Wasteland Wanderer perk is enabled... Spike (both can be found in the Old World Blues DLC... but I can understand if you don't want to make the DLC mandatory.... maybe as an opitonal file??)

    great work JigglesJosh!

other brains u might like to add would be roxie of old world blues for ranged attack
    and a nightstalker for stealtheffect
or owb gabes brain for instant growth or detonation everytime rex gets knoockd out

As for Roxie, I was actually planning on making an entirely different section of this mod, which would be sort of like a "Roxie Brain Swap". But just using Roxie for a brain would be a shame, because having two dogs with swappable brains would be legit. I was considering using Nightstalker brains in the future with other creature brains. As for Gabe, I'm not sure who Gabe is, I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the ideas!

I was about to suggest Gabe as well...
Gabe is the big cyberdog from old world blues DLC...

Unluckily the mod didn't add me back the brains that i collected for the quest "nothing but a hound dog", but it works and it is a beatiful add-on that should be in the vanilla game by its release.

    Endorsed!

Huh? Give me more details about exactly what happened. Also which brains you acquired, and how long ago did you acquire them before the quest was completed?

I've added the console commands in the mod description to add whichever brains you should have received. This is a simple fix before I release the next version.

Hello, this mod sounds quite interesting.
Reading the planned updates made me and a few others think of a silly idea: why not add Caesar's brain as an option if he doesn't survive the quest "Et Tumor, Brute?" ? Probably not a very serious suggestion, but maybe something silly could be made out of it.
Definitely looking forwards to what this mod will become in the future.

Hahahaha! That would be a hilarious idea. Definitely not immersive, but maybe I'll toy around with the idea in another version in the future.

I imagine the endings run on the "nTransplantResult" variable that the quest runs on. I've noticed recently that if Rex has one of the brains I've added (meaning the brains that use the variables i added for nTransplantResult), the ending will not include Rex at all.

I forgot to comment on your mod earlier to day, but as allways - better late than never.
Your mod is important to comment because it is unusual and seems very well put together.
And I appreciate work that is unique in some way:-)
I am rebuilding my PC so I will DL later:-)
In the meantime your mod is tracked!

Thanks for the input! Most of the time when I'm designing mods I type out everything I want to do first lol. It helps when trying to organize, and I get clean, high-quality mods by doing so. As for being unusual, my scripting methods might be a little unorthodox, as I learned how to script first by modding Skyrim.

Very nice! I like the idea of these brains being buffs you can add and remove Just like how asking standard companions to use ranged or melee attacks, it makes Rex feel more than just a quest companion.

Thank you! I've worked long and hard on this, I really hope you enjoy it! But wait until I start giving Rex stronger brains mwahahaha! >:] Someone suggested also being able to put things like deathclaw brains into Rex.
