look at the name if it says Brotherhood the NCR will be hostile (which is basically all power armor you can find other than a few unique sets) even if you recruit the brotherhood for the NCR it doesn't actually change the hostility so either try to find a faction free set of "brotherhood" power armor or install a mod that let's remove the faction script from it
Will this work mid playthrough? After I installed it, my game will reset the faction back to neutral and get rid of the faction reputation under the general tab. Doesn't matter if I'm wearing the faction armor or not. This mod seems to make it worse...even other mods that completely gets rid of faction armor has the same problem.
Could you please somehow make it so that faction armor only makes that certain faction neutral to you, but doesn't make their enemies your enemies? For example I'm friendly with NCR and hostile with the Legion, so I put on Legion armor, now they're neutral to me but the NCR is still friendly. Is this possible to do?
After wearing NCR armour for a while to infiltrate Mojave Outpost, due to being Vilified by them, every faction hostile towards the NCR started attacking /me/ on sight despite having positive reputation with them. The BoS, Khans and the Legion, all the three factions I work with throughout the game were trying to kill me. I had to use the console to remove their hostiliy towards me.
I played with this mod for 2 years now and nothing like that ever happened to me, killing Crocker/Moore makes the NCR hostile as intended. Something else in your load order is causing this.
There was nothing else related to faction armours in my LO, never mind the fact it hadn't changed in a couple of playthroughs, and I hadn't had such a problem before.
Well, factions attacking you randomly despite having positive reputation can happen, it's a vanilla glitch. It's strange that three of them became hostile at the same time, though. I guess it isn't totally impossible due to the buggy nature of the disguise system.
This is exactly what I wanted, but then I thought it might be really cool to make it so different levels of faction armor give you different levels of fame. Like if you wore the armor of a recruit you'd have neutral, Sgt/Veteran is accepted, officer/decanus is liked, ranger/praetorian is idolized. I'm definitely going to use your mod in the meantime, but if that's not too hard you should consider making an optional file like that :) Thanks for your work!
