What fun is it to cheese your way through every quest? God forbid anyone collect something with a goal in mind. This is a nice mod for those who have done it legit first, but it isn't a hard quest. I mean, you can buy sunset sarsparilla from vendors and it's everywhere for pete's sake.
I don't think this of this mod as "cheesing" it - that would be the mod that puts 50 star caps right next to Festus.
By requiring the Robotics Expert perk, you need to be level 12, have a Science skill of 50, and spend one of your precious perks on this particular perk. If I did all that, I'd damn sure expect to be able to handle any quest that presented me with something to do with robotics... which is exactly why I did this mod.
Yeah, the other thing I can think of (might add it in at some point) would be if you have the Jury Rig perk, you can jury rig the coin deposit to mistake regular caps for star caps. That seems like a reasonable bypass to me.
You're welcome. The one time I finished it (my very first play-through of NV), I did it "the right way" and collected 50 caps without cheating by looking up where to find them online. It only took me until level 38 where the only thing left was the battle for Hoover Dam. There are mods that give you 50 star caps, but I felt using your skills would be a better solution. I'm glad others like it, too.
