Was it really intentionally or just DUST moad author thought it would be? I don't quite remember in vanilla DLC game if Tunnelers do detect you easily if sneaking from a mile away radius..

It's a bug but it seems the mod author wanted it that way. Frankly I agree. Having to constantly be on the run from tunnelers sounds kinda fun

So here is a video showing proof that this mod unfortunately no longer works as of DUST 2.0.

(I'm not criticising the mod author or mod. This is a fantastic mod, but it isn't working at the moment).

Alright, I downloaded DUST v2.0, started a new character, and fast traveled to the location which you load into in your video (near the Coyote Den map marker, or the Dust Home from the Dust Player Home mod). After my character appeared at the Coyote Den map marker, I made my way to the back of the truck which can be seen when you loaded into your save. These were my observations of what happened with my mod activated and without:

-With the mod activated, my character was detected by a couple of nearby Night Stalkers after fast traveling. After dispatching them, my character then remained [HIDDEN] in the back of the truck.

-With the mod not activated, my character was almost immediately in [DANGER] after spawning, and 4 Tunnelers started homing in on him from behind some hills (in addition to the usual Night Stalkers).

So, from this brief experiment, it seems to me like my mod is still working as before the update. I am not sure what may be going on on your end. Try playing with the mod deactivated, to see if you can notice any difference. A quick and easy experiment you can try: start a new game, then as soon as you spawn, turn to the left, open the door, and then go straight ahead and enter the "Door to Shack". When in the shack, go into sneak mode, and exit the shack. You will find yourself in an area with Tunnelers nearby. Without the mod, you will immediately get in [DANGER] and they will start charging you, while with the mod, you should stay [HIDDEN].

I was experiencing the same issue. Being on linux I don't use a mod manager, so i dug a little deeper into load orders. Apparently the load order in New Vegas is determined by file timestamp. DustSurvivalSimulator.esp had a newer timestamp than Tunnelers.esp, so a simple `touch Tunnelers.esp` fixed it for me.

Thanks for making this. Omniscient tunnelers were completely ruining DUST for me before I installed this mod!

I'm not sure if this is working for me. I just started a new game and as soon as I left the Abandoned Shack the tunnelers below sensed me and came running up the cliff before I'd even seen them. Maybe they can still sense me from that distance even with this mod? Ive tried a couple of times now and it keeps happening. I have this placed below Dust.esp, should it be above it?

It should be below DustSurvivalSimulator.esp. In my experience, my character stays [HIDDEN] when I exit the Abandoned Shack in sneak mode. But they can still spot you if you move within their sight, especially early on when your level and stats are low. Without the mod, you immediately go in [DANGER] and they start going after you.

This mod doesn’t seem to work for me on Dust 2.0.

The moment I sneak anywhere within 500 yards of a tunneller, I’m immediately detected.

It seemed to for me -- you have it loaded after DUST in your load order, correct?

It's loading after every single plugin in Vortex that isn't the base game.

      I've no idea.

I even deleted all of my mods from Vortex, deleted the mod directory, and installed them all again using NMM so I could put 'Tunnelers' at the bottom of my load order, but they still detect me.

ETA: If you look at Rycon Roleplays YouTube series of this, which is currently ongoing and has exactly the same mods I'm using except a few more on my end, he's having the exact same problem. Dust 2.0, Tunneler Fix, the moment he enters sneak he's detected. So it isn't just me.

I'll check out Rycon Roleplays' videos to see what's going on, but from some quick experimentation of my own it seems the mod is still working as intended.

The changes this mod makes to have its effect are very simple -- it almost definitely is not the main reason you're crashing. My guesses would be you've installed too many plugins, or you've installed something incorrectly.

I remember playing without this mod for quite awhile. What a mistake that was.

    Thank you for this fix.
