Encountered a problem yesterday while exploring near Aurelia (Cottonwood Cove) - water in the Colorado, swimming cannibals, water-walking tunnelers (guess they dont have swimming animation maybe?) - despite the mod installed. Lake Mead works fine, no water at all there. Thanks for the detailed description and the GECK based solution, it works, managed to drain the river with that way. Endorsed.
You're going to need to open up the file in GECK and right-click on the worldspace and in one of the tabs there should be the aforementioned setting that needs toggling
Bare in mind though this is a Vanilla Dust LOD mod and any other mods that add significant changes to landscapes will need your own LOD generation which is a lot easier done nowadays than it was at the time of this mod's release thanks to newer mods
If you need help you can Google for LOD guides and it's quite easily done as we don't need to do it in GECK any more
installed this with dust and dust expansion project (adds a few things, doesn't undrain), and lake mead got like, half cleared? some parts on the edge have squares of water still existing, and the river from dam to cottonwood cove isnt drained any ideas on how to solve?
ive downloaded as the instructions said but still theres water in lake mead, i tried to use geck but it says smth about multiple master files not loading, but i only have dust as an active file and have tweaked the geck ini to allow multiple master file loads yet it cant be done....
Thank you so much for this. I hated the water in the Lake Mead LOD For some reason this works without me doing anything in the geck, perfect! No more floating water
Did you merge meshes with meshes? It should work as is
Directory structure should be data/meshes/landscape /lod Or something along those lines (computer is broke atm so I can't be too specific off the top of my head)
When merging make sure you're overwriting just to be sure my LoD files are the one being used. I couldn't specifically pinpoint which files are for the mead/river area sp any other LOD mods you use you may wish to redownload after installing this and make sure (by checking on that mod page) that it doesn't conflict with the mead area.
I used these files no problem as you can see by the pictures so I do believe that there has been a problem with installation
Only terrain, as tree/objects LOD are easily done yourself.
Terrain LOD is the one that takes forever to do, so it's more worth to people who don't have access/knowhow to do LOD as this literally took me an entire day to generate.
Tree/object LOD doesn't even take ten minutes. You can do tree LOD in the GECK really easily

EDIT: Can Confirm its DUST Expansion Projecting Causing the issue
