Maybe they are for combat, but I'd imagine if you walk around a lot and travel far they balance the weight quite well. My dad had a similar setup (but for one sidearm obviously) when he did surveillance jobs that involved a lot of movement and long term deployment. They typically work quite well since you approach any opponents with your weapon drawn.
Neat piece of clothing, but overly generous with the stat boosts. I've reduced the DT and carry weight bonus and removed the skill bonuses for my own use.
Did you install the mod manually or with a manager? If you installed it manually, the texture path might've got messed up. Can you send me a picture of the directories where you've pasted the folers/files to? (If you installed it manually, that is.)
Akanami I took a look and the texture paths for the arms point to the E drive "e:\fallout new vegas\data\textures\armor\hoodie\boomercoats2.dds" while I have Vegas installed on my D drive. All the other textures just point to "textures\armor\leatherarmor\leathermark2.dds" so they're working. Besides that though awesome mod!
