Crashes when I drop items and try to pick them back up but I found a workaround which is the same as what yellotang posted. Which is by: WIth this mod enabled I scan all the items I want then save game, disable this mod and restart game. I now can take all the items that this mod changed from red to yellow. And SKYRIMLU I really love this mod it really helps alot along with unlock that and New Vegas Trade Center mod.
If you go to the Trade Center go to the market in the back there's a couple of shops there with alot of items and caps in storage boxes next each npc & with this mod you could steal everything & be really rich & after a while everything will respawn after some time I'm not sure how long it takes though. if your interested in it the link is http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42653
Yes, I get the exact same thing. This mod causes a Visual C++ Runtime Error, almost every time you pick up an item from the ground, resulting in a CTD. This looked handy in that pilfered items won't even show up in the trade menu when selling to some vendors.
The other option was to place all my stolen loot "sell" items into a nearby container/box/desk, whatever, open the console, click on the container and run "setownership" to cause everything in the container to then be owned by me, just so I can sell it. This always struck me as some real stupidity on the part of Bethesda. How is Chet in Goodsprings supposed to know that the stimpak or pack of bubblegum I stole in Primm was a "hot" item?
This is another case of a good idea that fell by the wayside because it was ignored after it was initially executed badly. Another modder may not feel right redoing this correctly because they did not come up with the concept 1st. And that's a shame, because it really was a handy idea for "thief" types. As Mr. New Vegas says, "Moving on..."
Crashes with "CAM - Chems Alcohol and Meds by SenterPat" Runtime error.
but I found a workaround. WIth this mod enabled I scan all the items I want then save game, disable this mod and restart game. I now can take all the items that this mod changed from red to yellow. I'm wondering if this script can be attached to an item that when worn the script runs and once removed one could retrieve all the items converted.
This works well for everything that you don't have to unlock or hack but, as with the "setownership" console command, you still get negative karma from unlocking /hacking something previously marked as belonging to an npc or faction. It would be great if the negative karma could be removed via script too. Other than that, this mod is great. Thanks for the work
I found this mod to be more to my taste: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58267/?
You still have to steal, but once you got it, it's yours. Because who actually knows if you stole some stuff in another place? no one. Disabling stealing completely makes it pretty useless i think.
For me is just annoying to have a lot of rubbish with ownership and instead of having to modify all of those of objects by hand (there's millions in the game) this is much easy.
Also has to do with my way of playing where I am trying to avoid killing people or fight them because I pick a wrong object by mistake witch is easy to happen in this buggy game.
Now i can take all of those Stimpaks and Super Stimpaks from Camp McCarren that i DESPERATELY need in order to murder everything else in the wasteland without spending a single cap! Thank you!

I am not having that issue. Can't be that you have any other mod that gives you negative karma?
Edit- Wait...maybe because I use another mod (not published here yet) that I made that unlocks everything...
Maybe this can change the problem with negative karma...
