NewVegas Laser Bolt FX

In Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics laser weapons were represented as having bolt projectiles rather than beams. While factually incorrect, I always liked that visual style.

Now with his permission I have adapted and expanded upon his original work to bring Laser Bolt FX to New Vegas for the enjoyment of all!

The mod comes in 2 flavours:

The definitive edition, to be used alongside the incredible "Essential Visual Enhancements" by weijiesen.

For anyone who cant or wont use EVE.

Installation

1. Choose the relevant download, EVE or Vanilla.

2. Extract all files to your NewVegas/Data directory.

3. Activate the relevant esp's: 
    -The EVE edition comes with 3 esp's, one for each version of EVE: All DLC, No DLC, and GRA only. Pick the esp that
     matches your version of eve and place it anywhere after EVE in your load order. ONLY USE ONE ESP OR YOUR GAME WILL CRASH ON LOAD.
   
     -The Vanilla version also has 3 esp's, a main one and 2 adding DLC support. They can go anywhere in your load order, and unlike the EVE plugins  
     should be loaded alongside eachother (assuming you have the relevant DLC).

    IE:
      If you have no DLC just use the main esp by itself:
     
      [x] FalloutNV.esm
     
      [x] -All other esm's
     
      [x] Laser Bolt FX.esp
     
      [x] -All other esp's

     If you have Honest Hearts use the main esp and the HH esp:

      [x] FalloutNV.esm
      [x] HonestHearts.esm
     
      [x] -All other esm's
     
      [x] Laser Bolt FX.esp
      [x] Laser Bolt FX - HH.esp

      [x] -All other esp's

     If you have HH and Old World Blues then use all 3:

      [x] FalloutNV.esm
      [x] HonestHearts.esm
      [x] OldWorldBlues.esm
     
      [x] -All other esm's
     
      [x] Laser Bolt FX.esp
      [x] Laser Bolt FX - HH.esp
      [x] Laser Bolt FX - OWB.esp     
 
      [x] -All other esp's

    As ever, trying to load DLC files with no DLC installed will CTD on load. CTD's on game load are ALWAYS the result of missing master files/poor load       order.

4. Play!

ENB Compatibility 

While the new FX are generally enhanced by ENB, some presets may not be immediately compatible. If you have issues with the bolts causing the screen to go black/blind download and install the "ENB compatibility mesh update" located in the "updates" section of the downloads page.
