This mod keeps me going, this mod keeps my game alive. Without this mod, I physically cannot play the game. Everything breaks, everything glitches. Every turn I take I see these dry-boned spawns of schizophrenic hell. All of my mods apparently rely on this single silly skeleton mod, or else they don't work.
ALRIGHT I FIXED IT, after messing around with models, textures, and race i finally fixed it. The problem was... The mod file was set as an ESM not a ESP.
It had nothing to do with the GECK and the mod files themselves but how the mod was flagged as an ESM and how the geck fucks up Races when editing or creating new ones while editing an ESM . Holy s*** after almost 3 days of bulls*** it was a simple one word edit in FNVedit and a extension change.
edit 11/24/2020: Still one of my favorite mods, also if you want to use this as a base for a new mod just make a copy after making whatever changes then make it an esp with the original as a master to it just to organize it better and still fix the charred body issue with the original flagged as a esm
Long shot, since this is 4 years old now lol. What did you do in FNVedit, exactly? And how did you change the extension? I tried saving a new esp with the skeleton esm as a master but the bodies are still black.
EDIT FOR LAZY DUMMIES LIKE MYSELF IN THE FUTURE: In FNVEdit, open the skeleton mod and in the "Flags" tab, right click & change the ESM flag from a 1 to a 0. Save it and quit. Then you simply change the extension of the mod from .esm to .esp in the mod's folder and the textures will work fine. Ignore any warning popups about the file breaking if you change its extension, it will work.
Ok so I'm not having the texture bug anymore but now, on rare occasions, I'll come across a skeleton walking around in a big red missing mesh error. I'm gonna pick up where you left off, Chris, and figure it out.
Lol it's probably one of my thousand plus mods but I get some skellys as friendly NPCs and wandering around cities. Weapon of choice appears to be boxing gloves. Great mod :D
with this mod, I found the skeletons attack the remnant enclave members causing you to fail the quest for aud lyne synge, the quest with arcade gannon. is this due to load order, the mod or something else and does anyone have a solution? for now ive just uninstalled the mod
