After years of using this mod, I want to give feedback. I really appreciate this mod. In my last playthrough I went back once to jurry rigging and very soon I realized again, how much I appreciate your mod. To prevent getting rich too fast I just tuned down the caps I get for bartering via the .ini of iStewiesTweaks. I dislike the whole durability system, even if it provides more realism. I dislike micromanaging, esp. if it uses up more than 1/3 of my play time. This is why I changed the gamesettings fDamageToArmorMult and fDamageToWeaponMult to 0.
I play games for character evolution, killing enemies, solving quests and becoming stronger and not to play mini- and sidegames all the time.

I think of including the player.srm-function in another mod, which offers a lot of services via a portable computer. But since I am low experienced in scripting, I probably won't do so and just type player.srm instead.

Lol, found a better solution: This mod. I edited the script and set F4 to be the bound key. Excellent.

I just wanted to write a few lines and say that I just tried this mod in March 2023 and it worked flawlessly. Very nice mod! And very useful on a survival playthrough. I hope someone could do a port for this to Fallout 3. I give this a solid 10 out of 10 rating.

      Thanks!
If you want one for F3 - this is the one I use for that game

Would be better balanced if if, yknow, used something from your inventory for repairs? Like scrap metal, or something else.

But you're spending caps like you would if you took it to someone to pay them for repairing. It's just somethig to make it less of a hassle. Caps are metal right? im sure 500 caps is enough scrap metal

It's a very good mod. However, it cannot be started in the latest environment of 2021 Steam version FONV. Similar mods for FO3 are available, so it may be due to NVSE related issues. If anyone can use it in the current environment, please let me know. thank you.(This sentence is a machine translation of Japanese, so it may be unnatural English. I'm sorry.)

Hola, encontré la solución (por lo menos si es que usas Vortex) el problema no es NVSE es Vortex, su gestión de archivos es una basura, lo solucione así:
Fui a "settings" en vortex luego a "mods" y en "Mod Staging Folder" seleccione:
      "D:\Program Files (x86)\Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition\Data"
luego de eso detecto los mods y listo, me di cuenta de esto cuando en "plugins" solo aparecian los DLC's

      English version with google translate:

Hello, I found the solution (at least if you use Vortex) the problem is not NVSE, it's Vortex, its file management is rubbish, I solved it like this:
I went to "settings" in vortex then "mods" and in "Mod Staging Folder" select:
      "D:\Program Files (x86)\Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition\Data"
after that it detected the mods and that's it. I realized this when in "plugins" only the DLC's appeared

ED-E (with Lonesome Road installed) and Veronica can normally act as "workbenches" for crafting, so you'd think they'd also work for doing repairs. But this mod does not seem to supply that option for ED-E (haven't tested Veronica yet). Can this be implemented?

Hey is there any way to edit this mod so that the only to repair your weapons is through the workbench?

It's an idea I had that started in this forum thread

    thx for this nice mod
I wanted to play FNV to wait until F4 is released but having to carry around 10x the same armor or weapon to be able to repair it is just dumb, it detracts from enjoying the story and gameplay, thansk for fixing that

I always wondered why this wasn't done already. I didn't cause I'm lazy (And kinda gave modding up, not very good at it or recieving criticism). Nice to see it come around finally. I wonder though, how'd you do it? I imagine a script of sorts, yes?

That was my same mentality haha especially since someone made an srm button for the workbench for FO3 and I expected someone to do that sooner. After nearly 5 years I decided to make a standalone one and upload it so that other people could enjoy it.

The original menu option for FO3 was still in the GECK so I changed the activation back to that and edited that script for what each button does.

Button 1 - I just copy and pasted what the script for activating the workbench originally was for

Button 2 - I used that same script and replaced the crafting menu command with the srm command.

      Other buttons got deleted.
