doesn't work for me but actually you can just make a simple tweak to fix it so you don't click sit while spamming the E button which is why I came here in teh first place but the mod doesn't work. it changes it so you just have to push hold to sit/drink rather than tap. its in the long tweaks menu.
This is the sort of mod you had no idea you'd ever want until you stumbled upon it accidentally and realised how vital it would be to your quality of life.
Could you make it that it also disable opening empty containers? Then players can spam press the active key over and over withouth those annoying empty container inventory screens
Mod would've worked like a charm for me, but I found out it's not compatible with the FO4-style quick loot mod I have installed, which wouldn't work even if I wasn't sneaking :c I haven't been able to find a way to fix it, which is sad because this mod really would have been useful for me
Well you do know that you can still sleep. Just don't be in sneak mode? And coming out of stealth mode to sleep won't be an issue since you can't sleep with enemies near by anyway. So I'm curious as to why you need a version that removes the not sleeping in sneak mode?
This game isn't perfect sorry to say, there have been times I was aiming directly at the object I wanted to grab and it said Chair in my cross hairs.
When I play stealth in Fallout I always use a room clearing/CQB (close quarters battle) style of play, It's a faster way of playing. Going room to room quickly clearing enemies before they have a chance to know what hit them, often I would come across an item I wanted and accidentally sat instead of grabbing it, frustrating to say the least.
Where I was always frustrated was when there were multiple items say on a bed. You had to be so careful because the sleep option would keep getting in the way. Plus I just hated accidentally sitting when I didn't want to... I agree you can always make a sweep and kill all enemies first but still if you hit sit by accident you have to go thru the sitting process....
Yet here you are.. I don't understand why some people will come and say things like this... You don't need this mod/fix but still giving useless comments.
P.S. Thank you for this mod, you just fixed one of the most frustrating things in this game, at least for me XD
@Luke1987 It's called "Freedom of Speech" buddy, the first amendment of the Glorious United States of America Now maybe you're not American, and you don't have freedom of speech wherever it is that you live, so I can understand why you'd be confused by my freedom. Anyone should be allowed to state their opinions as long as they're not being rude or their intentions aren't negative. I'm not insulting the author here, I'm not saying this mod sucks, I'm just saying it's something that's not quite necessary for me at least.
^ +1, not american, still agree. Also as to why I'm here, I looked at the new releases and thought "Why would anyone need that?" so I checked it out to try find the answer to my question.

GREATEST MOD EVER! Anyone questioning this mod has CLEARLY never played a sneaky character. Clicking on a chair instead of a desk while sneaking when a bad guy is near is a common ocurrence that drives folks mad, so this mod is a god-send. Thank you!!
You are welcome. Yes that is reason for this mod. Ok you could just be real careful and take your time to avoid accidentally selecting to sit but sometimes you are rushing along not paying that close attention and bam you are sitting and fully exposed and then often attacked.... This just makes it easier... For those of you who don't think you need it then fine don't use it...
I do that in EVERY Bethesda game: I'm sneaking around a Metro/Office/Home in FO3/FONV/Skyrim and there's Bandits/Mole Rats/Super Mutants/Guards/Mercenaries nearby while I try to strip the place in a hurry to avoid patrols. I invariably manage to click the chair instead of the desk/dresser, my guy stands up, puts his gun/sword/bow away, and sits in the chair while every bad guy around runs in and starts whaling on him while I frantically click to make him quit sitting. This mod is needed in every game.
Well I actually have a version for FO3. A little more basic since there is no MCM for FO3. But nothing for Skyrim since I don't mess with that game at all. I'll look into possibly getting it uploaded to the FO3 files here on Nexus.
And BTW if ever you get into playing TTW then this mod works perfectly.
