Hey, for some reason Henry refuses to start actual dialogue with me. If I hit talk he will just ask me what I want and keep walking. Did I mess up the install?
I just played it through for the first time. I am doing an evil character playthru. I didn't read the description enough to know that all the characters were voiced by you. Didn't seem like it in the mod. The settings were good. The characters were, too. Without spoiling the plot, I thought the various tasks I was given were a bit underwhelming after the delivery of the package. They just seemed so anticlimatic. So, why am I bothering to write? To drag the mod through the mud? Not at all. It was a good start. I did enjoy it a bit and am wondering whether it will be made fuller sometime down the road. If it was like, ten or more times longer with exciting chapters, it would be up there with the best on the Nexus. That is to say, it shows some promise. I plan to check back from time to time to see if you ever add anything to it. To anyone that might worry about the voice-acting, it's fine. The mod works and it's free. Doesn't that make it worth your time?
I choose to turn Song into the police to start, and ran into afew oddities so far. Then meeting the one dude in the Ultra-Luxe, you can trigger the quest for the chip (as if Song sent you) once completed you can't proceed along the other quest to get the information from him or even talk to him about it. Had to sneak my guns out of the locker and pop him from across the room.
Also approaching the 'data factory' my screen went black with a 'splashing' noise of that when you get nailed by poison or suffering a addiction withdrawl, kept seeming like it was "shifting me" as fast travel does, to the same location.
All in all an incredibly well done mod, I look forward to seeing more of your work!
One suggestion -- when the player finds Henry Song at the Aces Club and gets hired, everyone teleports to Song's hanger. The trouble is the casino still has all the player's weapons. You have to double back to the Tops, go in, go through the welcome, and leave again to get your weapons back.
It would be great to have the weapons returned when you teleport out.
Besides that (and maybe that was intentional?) it's a fantastic effort. Thanks for posting it. I thought the voice acting was actually pretty good, even if the sound quality was dry. The slackers outside the Club 34 cracked me up.
Hey, I fixed the bug in the latest version. I didn't notice when I made the mod because I always kill the greeter so I don't have to rebind the weapons.
Henry Song is actually supposed to be voiced. If you want to re-voice him though, could you send me a sample of your voice, with you using different accents, pitches, etc?
