Changelogs
Version 1.1
Distributed the power packs a bit more, they should be a bit easier to find in loot now, plus they have a chance to be sold by vendors too.
Gave the phaser some environment mapping. Phasers love environment mapping
Redid the texture for the phaser's beam.
The phaser now fires in a pulse, rather than a brief sustained shot. This means the phaser shot visibly *travels*, rather than behaving more like the laser pistol.
Gave the phaser a custom impact effect
Reworked the appearance of the muzzle flash a bit.
Version 1.04b
Corrected the level-listing of the power packs. The main level list for the packs wasn't even in a loot list. :B
Fixed the beam projectile. 'Cause the transforms applied weren't set, the beam would actually terminate BEFORE the object it was hitting.
Version 1.04
Fixed the normals for the phaser and its power packs, so now everything shades correctly
Added Heavy Stun packs! The Assault Phaser can now stun your enemies if you so choose. While doing a bit less damage than the normal ammo, Heavy Stun can still kill if you hit them right.
Tripled the number of power packs you get in the supply crate. Now it's 600 instead of 200. You also might find some stun packs in it.
Power packs are now level-listed and can (rarely) be found in loot. This includes the new stun packs.
Adjusted the position of the Federation Supply Crate, now it isn't backwards.
Considerably reduced the crit mult chance, from 35% to 2%. Now it for sure shouldn't happen nearly all the time.
Adjusted the recycling and crafting recipes for the power packs. You get a bit more outta those deals now.
Version 1.03b
Fixed the power pack recharging recipe. It was looking for less than one drained power pack, which means it'd pretty uselessly show up before you ever get drained packs.
Reduced the phaser's crit chance by 10%
Version 1.03
The phaser now uses the Attack 8 animation, which is a bit less recoily and makes the beam fire closer to the crosshair
Adjusted the damage dealt. It's now dialed back about 9 points (now it's 76 base instead of 85), crit chance has been lowered by 5% and the crit damage by 10%
Adjusted the Nadion Particle Recycler mod, it now regenerates on a by-shot basis rather than purely regenning.
Version 1.02
Added the missing texture for the phaser beam, now it shouldn't be all solid white
Increased the number of power packs found in the crate. You really should've gotten way more than just 10 shots, so now you'll get 200
Fixed the collision on the drained and full power packs, now they're properly droppable.
Dialed back the chance of getting drained power packs. You DO get them, just not with as much frequency as before. They should show up in the Misc items section.
Version 1.01
Fixed a couple recipes that required you to have EXACTLY the required amount of skill, instead of that much or more.
============ DESCRIPTION ============
This here mod adds the Assault Phaser, as seen in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, along with three swanky modifications! Oh yeah, and custom sounds, icons, ammunition, projectile, and it's a holdout weapon AND is integrated into lists for plasma weapon perks.
The phaser can be found on the ground in the little cave at Lakelurk Cove (which is across the river from the Blue Paradise Vacation Rentals), along with a crate that has two of the mods, some junk and a few power packs. One of the mods you can only get by crafting it.
Doc Mitchell don't got this thang 'cause he's a doctor, not a gun enthusiast.

============= COMPATIBILITY =============
This fella shouldn't butt heads with other mods since it's got all its own stuff, but if by some freak chance and alignment of the planets there is, don't hesitate to let me know. That goes for general bug issues too.
