Upped two new tutorials - one on BSA creation and another on blood decals for armor, which is a surprisingly obscure topic. Hopefully that will help some modders.

I am basically done making new mods and won't be visiting the site much, but I'll sporadically check the comments here and here to offer assistance to folks who may need it, as I do love the community and would like to still be useful So feel free to ask for more tutorials or whatnot and I'll see what I can do. If you need something extremely urgently, feel free to shoot me a PM.

I've hidden the FO3 version of the resources for now, as it's gonna take me a while to get to sort those out, and it is no fun to manage two pages that have basically the same stuff in it. I've added some items that I had made for FO3 only in here, as they are based on shared assets anyway. I may unhide it later on if I ever have time to organize it better.

Damn, this guide was so much help when figuring out why my textures always messed up in game...had no idea about the children and all that in nifskope.

Shame that the account is closed though - does anyone know a way to hide a node/nitristrips so as to make it not appear in the geck 3d index?

EDIT AGAIN: No, turns out the issue persists, I have no idea why. Can anyone help?

EDIT: Apparently the issue I had was the result of putting 253 assets in the same folder. Stupid mistake on my part.

Hey, just in case anyone else has this issue or knows of a fix, there appears to be a couple of nifs that cause my geck to crash when I try to save.

Huge thanks for sharing and for all your work! I've used bits and pieces from almost every single pack.

I doubt the mod author would be seeing this, but I'd still like to thank you for this useful resource. I'll be implementing one of your models (the shopping basket) in my food dropper mod for fallout 3 :)

I've been wanting to get into modding a bit for a while. Especially on the armor side of things. I figured mashups is a good way to start and ended up finding the armor mashup tutorial here. I download and install everything and go to do the very first thing he says to do. Extract all of the armor textures and meshes with bsaopt. I'm already confused. I do not see how to do that. I cant even start down the path to learning this, because I'm already lost. I feel like an idiot. grrrr….

Hi! I'm not sure about BSAopt but I've been using a program called BSA Browser
      available here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59553/?
Once you open a .bsa file in this program it gives you an option to extract the files within to wherever you need them.
I hope that helps! I recently started trying to learn to mod also and trust me I feel like an idiot the whole time too!

The new Creation Kit for fallout 4 which you can install with the bethesda.net client, also comes with one, I think it's only for BA2 tho, I haven't checked if SSE has one.

Anyways, I personally use BSArch, with a simple shell batch script I made that automatically packs or unpacks all the archives in a folder.

Hi jokerine will you be making textures of walls? I just wanted to ask this because i have ojo ultra, and don't really like nmc textures. Sometimes without some textures the game just doesn't really match, and looks horrible sometimes. Please reply if you see this comment. Peace.

Just have a small question about using textures from other games.

I've been playing about with some of Stroti's models, and I noticed they use a lot of Oblivion textures. Is it okay to use Oblivion textures in a mod for Fallout NV?

Just wondering how you get around this problem? Thanks

Hm... well, in many cases the textures Stroti uses are really simple, seamless square ones, so it's easy to replace them with custom-made ones in your own mod. Or you could look for texture replacements that someone may have made for Oblivion, and ask them for permission to use them. In my own case, for instance, I wanted to use Stroti's tanning rack in Sugarloaf's Christmas Adventure but that one used the default Oblivion rope textures. I looked around, found these, got permission to use them, and all was good

I don't know why I didn't think of that...found a few Skyrim texture mods that should do the trick (and I've made sure it's okay to convert them), so I'm all set.

Thanks again, the modding community is lucky to have you!

Another tutorial is up about rigging accessories like hats to creatures and implementing them in the GECK. Special thanks to flamenx01 for teaching me this back in the day Please note that I wrote this last night because I couldn't fall asleep due to a migraine, so there may be some typos in there or whatever. If you spot any mistakes please to tell - many tank!
