Still one of my all-time favorite mods, ever. Only recommendation is an option to add people by holding a certain key, like shift or something, instead of auto. I have a dozen Scavengers in my phone and counting and it’s a pain to navigate. Lolz
Perhaps flags to restrict certain NPCs. Traders/Respawns/Doctor flags, etc.
Can't believe no one has integrated this into their mod before. You could do a quest mod that requires the player to search for something or gather intelligence and then phone the quest giver to update them or to turn the quest in. I'd like a version of this that makes trading items or caps impossible over the phone, but I get why that function exists. A good companion mod or mods to this would be one that allows bounties or delivery jobs to be completed remotely, but our payment would either be deposited at a separate location or stored at the quest giver location for later pick up. Additionally, being forced to first establish a "tele-enabled transaction" contract with a merchant or the Mojave Express would be a great immersion mod. Tons of potential here. Just surprised no one had used it.
I cannot recommend this mod enough. It's so simple that it automatically works with any NPC, automatically sorts anyone with a companion-wheel, and automatically sorts anyone who can trade or play Caravan.
With TTW and tons of other content and DLC, I no longer have to travel forever to turn in fingers to the Regulators. I no longer have to determine where I left Roxie and Jericho. If I have too much junk in my inventory I can call Vendotron and the DC caravans and the Rivet City merchants until I've sold it all off. Or buy more ammo & stimpaks in a pinch.
One note is that the contacts have to be "NPCs" for the system to recognize, and the Big Mt Sink demonstrates this best. The Autodoc, Jukebox, disembodied brain, toaster, etc. won't be added because they aren't mobile NPCs in the game. Only Muggy will be added. It's not a gripe, and I prefer that simplicity vs. making this mod too complicated.
Also not all interaction types will work - NPCs can't repair, I can't access Ralph's expanded inventory (because he has to walk to it in the game). I can get Muggy's electrical components, but I'm not sure if he actually takes any cups when I offer them.
There are some small fixes that would be nice, more customization options, etc. But this is a LIFE SAVER for any expanded story mods.
