Also, Im aware of the fact there is a mod for New Vegas that lets you have 10, 8 or even 4 gauge if thats your thing. Perhaps an optional file that rechambers the KYS-23M for the 4 gauge wouldnt be a bad idea. Because who wouldnt want to send Cazadors to the god damn Playstation 2 realm by the power of 4 bore?
This mod gives me a good reason to create slightly more usable 25mm and 40mm projectile values. Honest to god, there's no utility to a weapon that won't fire an explosive even to, let alone beyond, minimum safe distance.
No idea what the Bethesda guys were thinking. Must have sounded something like, "Hey! Let's add in grenade launchers that don't shoot any farther than the player can throw a fuckin' grenade! That'll be hi-larious!"
I'm very confused. The readme for the 12 gauge says to use the "full KS-23 release archive" and to not just use the 12 gauge patch, but then it says only to use the 12 or the 25 version... Here's the thing, when I run the 12 gauge patch only, the gun isn't there. When I run both, it's still using 25, and of course just using the original 25 file keeps it as a grenade launcher.
What the hell am I supposed to do? The wording acts as if there is an original version that is neither the 25 or 12 gauge version...
It is a shotgun. In real life. If you actually read the description, you'd know that, because it shoots 23mm rounds (or 4 gauge shotgun shells), a calibre not present in New Vegas for obvious reasons, they made it fire 25mm grenades, which is the closest sized round in Vegas.
im assuming this arcs the projectile, other than making a separate ID in the geck, does anyone know if it is possible to remove the arc while using a specific projectile? im thinking 25mm variants of all the vanilla 12g ammo to make a very useful multitool :) if not im about to just cut the weight in half and tote two around lol
