It'd take some complicated work in the GECK. However, I believe FCO is going to include it, though I'm not sure if it's already implemented. I'm pretty sure New Vegas Redesigned 3 is going to be using it too.
Thanks for responding, I feel like this is the perfect excuse to start messing around in the GECK, but it's just too confusing for me. I'll wait for one of those two to add it.
Not complicated at all. It takes 5 minutes. Make a new race, go to the face, change the face texture to cook cook's face from this mod, save the race. Go to cook cook under NPCs, then change the race to the race you just created.
Hey, I'm having a bit of an issue with one of the textures. Namely, the one you made for your custom character included in the package. A weird neck seam thing (this brown strip at the bottom of the neck texture, and above the actual neck seam, with strange jagged shapes within) is on the default version of the texture. Naturally, I tried to fix it. I covered it entirely on the texture. And when I opened New Vegas to see how it looked, the neck seam was still there. After hours of troubleshooting, I'm wondering if you could help somehow.
I'll upload two images, one with the two textures (before and after my edit) and one with the image in-game of the "fixed" texture.
UPDATE:
Nevermind, I guess. The texture spontaneously started working when I booted up New Vegas this morning.
Hey! someone noticed :p thats me still playing around with solving the neckseam. The reason you can't cover that up, is because the normal map is trying to display "nothing" in that ragged space around the bottom of the neck. I haven't focused on that too much due to the fact that I don't have the right textures for my body, so it's difficult to match the normals. This will all be fixed in coming updates when I find a good workflow for new models.
Personally, I've been using a tone-corrected version of Breeze on my character to make the seam less obvious. Somehow, I managed to get it looking much better this morning without any further effort whatsoever. I just loaded the game and the brown bit by the seam disappeared.
it may be the egt "correcting" the color difference. I've noticed that lightening the shade of the cheeks makes the seam almost invisible. Fortunately, despite the texture issues with the body, the portion along the neckline displays what appears to be the side of the stomach, so it's a pretty flat plane of reference.
Looks bloody brilliant, love the new look for Caesar, Doc Mitchell, and Silus. Not loving the Vulpes but it looks like it's another mod in any case. Will endorse when it lets me.
