Version 1.4 (and probably the final version) of this mod has FINALLY been uploaded to the Nexus. MANY thanks to Pixelhate for creating the internal window that glows in sync with the time of day outside! I would have NEVER been able to create that asset on my own, and I feel that it is essential to complete the immersive atmosphere of the El Rey Motel!
An optional file featuring a player home at the El Rey Motel is forthcoming.
Just a head's up - I am probably going to put together an optional file soon that adds a player-owned hotel room on the ground level and workbenches at the ruined gas station next to the hotel. I'm happy with the lighting and windows inside of the El Rey, but not so much with the hotel in Novac. I don't suppose anyone has the ability to create an unlit window object that would allow me to build that out? I have created a Nexus thread here.
If your mod alters any of the existing EL Rey Hotel rooms, then yes, there will be a conflict. If you created your player home in one of the unused/boarded-up rooms at the hotel, then I don't anticipate that there will be an issue.
I have considered creating a separate mod to do just that. I doubt that I could cram a Workbench and a Reloading Bench in the resulting room, but I don't see any issues creating a hotel room that has running water, decent lighting, plenty of containers, and an electric hot plate for cooking.
Nice work! Now I can stay in a depressing $5 room soaked in hooker blood in class! Lol, just kidding, you've done a wonderful job. I was just playing on the stereotypical setting of a Vegas hotel.
The sad thing is that the El Rey Motel is actually nicer then the Dino-Dee Lite Motel! The El Rey has electricity, working lights, useable windows, and it presumably has clean running water in at least one of the boarded-up rooms. And you have NCR Troopers patrolling around outside to keep the Fiends and other threats at bay!
All of the original contents *should* have been carried over - they have just been moved to reflect the new layouts of the rooms. However, if I appear to have missed anything, please let me know!
