About this mod

One of the things that bothered me the most about Fallout: New Vegas was the way that the El Rey Motel was designed. The interiors of the rooms did not sync up with the exterior of the building at all and totally broke immersion. So I decided to fix it with this mod.

Before proceeding any further, I'd first like to thank the following people whose work made the completion of this mod possible:

- Pixelhate, who created the interior motel windows and set them to glow in sync with the time of day. Without Pixel's work, this mod would have NEVER been finished! Many thanks for his assistance with creating the final assets needed for me to finally finish this mod!

- NMC, who graciously granted me permission to use textures from his texture pack to create an NMC-compatible interior window texture!

- tapioks, who also graciously granted me permission to use texture from his texture pack to create an Ojo Bueno-compatible interior window texture!

Description
===========
One of the things that bothered me the most about Fallout: New Vegas was the way that the El Rey Hotel was designed. The interiors of the rooms did not sync up with the exterior of the building at all and totally broke immersion. So I decided to fix it with this mod.

Details
=======
Here’s a list of the changes that I made to the El Rey Motel:

- Rearranged each of the hotel room interiors so that they actually occupy the space that they are supposed to.
- Added interior windows to the front, rear, and sides of the hotel rooms as dictated by their exterior models.
- Added unlit emergency lights to the interiors of the rooms.
- The exterior windows of the occupied motel rooms now glow at night.
- The interior windows of the occupied motel rooms now glow during the day.
- The exterior motel room doors have been changed from generic wooden doors to proper motel room doors (like at the Dino Dee-Lite Motel).
- Broken lights are now positioned above the exterior motel room doors (again, like at the Dino Dee-Lite Motel).
- The knocked-over chair in ElReyMotelRoom02 has been disabled.

Install
=======
1. Copy the contents of the mod to (install folder)Fallout New Vegas\Data.

2. Go into the (install folder)Fallout New Vegas\Data\textures\architecture\novac\ folder. There are three possible textures to be used for the "daytime" interior window. The textures are coded as follows:

 - motel_windowint_eDEF.dds - The interior window to be used the default Fallout: New Vegas Textures
 - motel_windowint_eNMC.dds - The interior window to be used with NMC's Texture Pack (Medium Resolution)
 - motel_windowint_eOJO.dds - The interior window to be used with tapioks' Ojo Bueno Texture Pack (HQ Resolution)

3. Rename whichever interior window that you want to use to "motel_windowint_e.dds".

4. Start the Nexus Mod Manager, click 'Data Files', and place a checkmark beside the .esp file(s).

Uninstall
=========
1. Start the Nexus Mod Manager, click Data Files, and uncheck the .esp file(s).

2. Delete the .esp file from (install folder)Fallout New Vegas\Data.

3. Delete the following files from (install folder)Fallout New Vegas\Data:

- \meshes\architecture\novac\PixMotel_WindowInt.nif
- \textures\architecture\novac\motel_windowint_e.dds
- \textures\architecture\novac\motel_windowint_eDEF.dds
- \textures\architecture\novac\motel_windowint_eNMC.dds
- \textures\architecture\novac\motel_windowint_eOJO.dds
- \textures\shared\flat_n.dds

Incompatibility
===============
This mod will probably conflict with mods that change the El Rey Motel or any of the objects contained within.

Permission Notes
==============
This upload is intended to be included in the Yukichigai Unofficial Patch and can be used by any modders that would like to create their own El Rey Motel mods with proper room placement and windows and the like.
