Lovely, more lore friendly than a lot of the modern weapon mods I've used, feels almost like I'm playing vanilla again, but with a stealthy option on the 5.56mm weapon.
Comments: 1. When using just the supressor and no extended mag, the magazine is floating beneath the gun. You can't see it in 1st person, but if you go 3rd person, it is floating just below where you insert the magazine and it is oriented 90 degrees to the gun (horizontal to the ground). No mods, it looks fine. Supressor + Ext mag, it looks fine. This issue only presents when you have just the suppressor mod on. 2. If any users have Millenia's Weapon Retexture mod installed, they'll have to go into the textures and meshes 2handautomatic folders and (re)move the .nif & .dds files there, otherwise the rifle looks like a mess. I put them in a backup folder in case I wanted to return to them and your work displays fine.
At the general store in the starting town there should be a Varment rifle silencer, and in the Nelis Air Force Base: Array there should be a Marksman Carbine on a dead body just inside the Array. For the Ext. Mag I don't know exactly where to find one, but if you have gunrunners DLC than I bet that there is one there.
I think this is great for a first mod. It works as advertised and it is exactly what I was looking for.I prefer 5.56 weapons for taking out the simpler and less powerful targets, usually human, and I usually snipe so silencers are a plus. My favorite 3 are the Ratslayer, the Marksman carbine (All American if I get it) and That Gun. But I always wished my Ratslayer could fire more rapidly for certain situations, and I often wished the Marksman had a silencer. I came here looking for a silenced version of the Marksman and I found this. PERFECT. I don't want to feel like I am cheating with an overpowered weapon, I just wanted to be able to buy one more weapon upgrade that I could get for other weapons, and this is it. My Ratslayer will be taking a well deserved break, but will still be handy for those night shots. Thanks! I'll dedicate my next head explosion to you!
Nicely done. The first mod for us all is always a bit tough here and there. Even if other people have made this, you've done well and can consider this mod a stepping stone,
WMX does something similar and adds mods for a hell of a lot of other weapons, too. All American can take the same mods, for example. I don't want to squash your efforts, just wanted to point you to a very good mod.
