Fallout: New Vegas
Combined Community Sound Pack

Welcome, one and all, to the grand release of the Combined Community Sound Pack for our beloved Fallout: New Vegas.

WHAT IS THE COMBINED COMMUNITY SOUND PACK?

The Combined Community Sound Pack, or CCSP for short, is a massive compilation of user-made sounds from the internet community. Nearly all firearms have brand new unique firing 2d, firing 3d, and firing distant sounds. What does this mean? Well, for one thing, you can now tell which firearms are being fired at a distance instead of hearing a generic crack or pop.

SO WHAT'S IN THE CCSP?

A grand total of over one hundred unique sound entries have been added to CCSP.esp. As of this moment there are 2d entires, 3d entries, and distance entries. Most rifles and pistols include new reloading sounds as well. Unique weapons that did not have unique sounds now have unique sounds as well: these weapons include the Medicine Stick, Paciencia, the .45 Automatic Pistol, A Light Shining in Darkness, the Bozar, the Survivalist's Rifle, and Lil' Devil. The main module is mostly complete, with DLC modules for Honest Hearts, Courier's Stash, and Dead Money. Additional sounds will be coming as our talented staff finesse the results.

MANUAL INSTALLATION VERSUS ESP INSTALLATION
At the moment, the CCSP supports only ESP installation. This means custom weapons, modded weapons, and weapons such as those added in via Project Nevada will have default sounds. The advantage to this is that you can turn the CCSP sounds on and off just be enabling or disabling the CCSP esp file. In the near future, manual installation of the sound files will become available for everyone.

THESE SOUNDS ARE AWESOME! CAN I USE THEM IN MY PROJECT?
Permissions have been granted for use in the CCSP by the sound effects respective authors. As this is a community sound pack, the sounds are the property of their respective owners. In a short answer, no. But if there's a certain sound or two you want to use, contact me via PM and I'll do my best to provide you with the details of what you need to do.

HOW TO INSTALL/UNINSTALL:

Drop CCSP.esp in your Fallout: New Vegas/data folder and enable it. Drop the sound folder in your data folder too. The DLC modules are independent of the main module so download and enable those as well if you have the appropriate DLC. For now, uninstalling is as simple as disabling the esp files like any other mod.
