I was thinking the same thing, how clean it is, it just breaks my immersion tbh. I'm sure it's a great mod but I want my guns to look rusted for my character, I hope the author makes a worn version. Looks great despite it all though.
Downloaded the ammo pouch and dirty version...still received the normal version. Even so, I LOVE this weapon. Please whenever you get a chance, try to correct the hand placement at the small of the stock, and I would love to see you make a paratrooper variant!
wonderful gun. i love it. it's even my signature weapon (using the mod Signature Weapons/Armor). my only complaint is the ironsights and the rifle sway. even at 100 guns, it sways like a mofo, and it's difficult to use at longer ranges with the square sight in the way. any possibility of an old fashioned aperture sight?
I found I bug when I put weapon mods on it turns into a service rifle and their is no ammo pouch or dirty retexture I made sure it's installed right so I went into fnvedit and looked up the .nifs and they are set to the service rifle in first and third view so if you could fix this that would be great because the weapon is awesome other than this one bug. I hope you can change the .esp name also because another mod uses the exact same name m1 carbine it's a great weapon I like it.
I think this weapon would be perfect if it used .30 Cal ammo from Caliberx. I think you may have to ask permission just to required but it'd be well worth it. Even then, 5.56 is close enough.
Like the user before me said, the reload animations are a bit wonky, but that is the limitation of the game, not the modder, so all's well there. In other words, the model of the firearm itself is nice, with attractive curves and hard lines all in the right places, but the weapon itself, in terms of the texture, seems oddly out-of-place. The last variant of the M1 was phased out of American service in 1973. Given the Great War of 2077, and the current game date, 2277, it would follow that these rifles, being upwards of hundreds of years old, would be a bit dirtier, nicked up, dinged, et cetera.
Aside form that, the gun is well-done, and it is a very attractive mod!
or lets just say the gun runners were able to reproduct these rifles, but yeah, still needs a bit dirtier look since post apocalyptic gun manufacturers use whatever they can to make a weapon
Or someone just carved their own wood. Saw the blueprint of the gun in a book. Made it from scartch. Really dedicated to this gun, shined it up real nice. There you go..
Could you possibly make it less blocky looking, and more dirty, it looks way too clean, maybe add some weathering and some scratches, and possibly add a worn leather sling to the rifle
hey i might have a temp fix for the awkward grip if your willing to make the paratrooper style wire grip for the carbine it'd give the carbine a pistol grip while retaining the corrent animations
