I'm sorry man but this really fucks with me. Pistol chambered in 9x21 when the ammo in game is 9x19. I must be autistic or something but other than that this is beautiful.
The 92 series (including the 90-Two, M9, M9A1, and M9A3) are all chambered in 9mm NATO, also known as 9mm Parabellum, 9mm Luger, or 9x19. The first thing I noticed is the fact that it is labeled as 92FS (which is ALWAYS chambered in 9x19), while the 98 series is chambered in 9x21. It was a small mistake, but one that drives me insane regardless.
It's really cool, but why is the damage so low? The default 9mm does more damage with adequate guns skill, never mind with P+ ammo on top of it. The Beretta's only good early game, it gets useless kinda quickly.
anybody else having issues with the front sight disappearing when you equip the suppressor. not a huge issue because it still hits whatever is in between the rear sight, just a little ocd about my firearms
having the same issue with this mod as with your m14 mod. where is the gun? or at least the base ID to spawn it and its mods in? i cant find anything but vanilla guns in doc mitchells house and i used vortex to install this. there arent any requirements so im rather confused what the issue is.
It's on Doc Mitchell's chair in his bedroom it literally says in the description. Also if you want to find the base ID, you can either use FNVEdit or (if you have NVSE) click it in console mode and type "GBO" (which means get base object) and it'll tell you.
Good work of course but this one is a little too powerful again. It has the same critical multiplier as Maria and while doing less damage per shot, it still does more DPS. Combined with its weapon modifications there is little reason to use Maria or the standard 9mm pistol in the game. I made some changes in the geck to make this more balanced. I know this is an old mod but perhaps you're still around to consider adjusting it.
The first big change is I reduced the critical multiplier from x2 to x1. With just this change the gun is pretty well balanced thanks to the fact that it will do more base DPS than Maria, but Maria will do more damage if you base your character around critical chance. I also took away the 92FS's ability to equip the suppressor and extended magazine (since silenced holdout weapons are supposed to be hard to get and to give one more + to use the standard 9mm pistol) but kept the mod to increase weapon health. I increased base weapon health by 100 (bringing it to 300) which will allow for 375 weapon health with the mod installed (versus 200 on Maria). The 92FS has always been regarded as a very reliable pistol and since this one looks to be in very nice shape I think it makes sense while also giving it one more + over Maria without making it outright more powerful. I also changed the gun's spread values to the same as Maria (formerly you had spread set to zero and min spread at .5 I believe) and reduced its RoF slightly (2 > 1.85).
So at this point, there's pro's and cons for all of the 9mm pistols in the game:
9mm Pistol:
Equippable scope Highest capacity cheapest to repair
Maria: Most damage of all 9mm weapons (makes the most use of your 9mm ammo) Potentially highest DPS with a critical character build Better against higher DT enemies thanks to its higher damage
92FS: Most base DPS Highest durability Best RoF
Been playing for a few hours now with it and I think it fits into the core game much better now. I can see myself keeping this installed and using or not using it based on my character build, which I think is the sign of real balance: not using something ALL of the time. I know at the bottom of your thing it says not to edit without permission, but I don't plan on distributing this of course and I just wanted to give input to possibly make your mod better.
