The train puzzle is bugged, I even pulled up Chris's text files to compare to my notes, and they match, can someone tell me the real solution and not the incorrect solution given by Chris ?
Had a bunch of fun playing this mod but the Radsuits don't seem to protect from the radiation towards the end. I ended up having to use TGM because I was taking 60+ rads per second and kept dying. Loved the twist ending, all in all, great stuff.
this is a great mod i got most the way through but could never finish it was too broken for me to continue. first i spawns thousands of ghouls that wouldn't stop spawning, i fought off endless waves of ghouls for about half an hour before the quest actually continued on. after it continued it said to grab the four "bombs" and plant them under the chemical vats but no matter what i tried they wouldn't actually connect to it. i hen uninstalled the mod but watched a youtube video and saw the ending just sad i didn't get to experience it myself.
I've had this mod for a while now and decided to revisit it because I love killing zombies. This is one of my favorite mods but there were a few things about it that got under my skin with each playthrough. I mean the author and collaborators no disrespect whatsoever. SPOILERS FOLLOW
STUFF I LIKED
- The bazillion zombies to kill. I love having to plow through a horde of zombies to get to my destination. It makes whatever is at the end so much more valuable somehow. Even when its a piece of junk.
- Head-shots count. Thank you for doing this! Probably my favorite part of the whole mod.
- I really liked that you made good use of game mechanics instead of adding a bunch of fetch-it quests. Repairing busted equipment is always cool.
STUFF I HATED
- I hate the "you must wear the outfit I give you" mechanic when it comes to quest progression. The way you implemented this mechanic didn't take away from the mod at all, it just wasn't my cup of tea.One of my favorite things about FO is selecting the right outfit for each occasion.
- While the guitarist is more talented than I'll ever be, the music seemed oddly placed. I always rock my own tunes in the background with the groovatron mp3, so it was kind of annoying at times.
- Catching the train. It didn't make any sense for dude to explain the number sequence once and only once. He has to ride the train too and all of our lives are counting on it. There was no imminent doom that prohibited him from explaining it again. He just comes off like a jackass when you ask him to repeat it, yet there's no good reason. If zombies were crashing through the walls, sure I'd feel pretty stupid for not catching the instructions on the first go. But we had all of eternity to sit in that little shack until somebody sets the sequence lol.
All in all this is one of my favorite quests on the nexus and I'm glad you shared with the rest of us. Thanks!
Excellent mod, I liked the lack of voice acting as it enabled you to focus on scripting and level design. Love the suprise twist as well. I had zero problems with the max of 135 plugins.
Regarding the issue of Eva turning hostile. This should work if know how to use the GECK to edit a NPC.
Find the NPC called aaJCEEvaHarington (Eva if you didn't guess). Add PlayerFaction in the Factions tab.
No promises. At the moment aaJCEEvaHarington is a member of a Mod Faction called aaChristoffFaction. That Faction is a friend of PlayerFaction but that doesn't seem to be enough. It will be a while before I can test it out but that did fix the same problem with a Companion I for a Mod I created myself.
Don't edit aaChristoffFaction. It it is possible to break this Mod elsewhere if you do so.
