Sounds of gunfire have always been a bit wonky in FNV. I have Veronica as companion and gave her an AKA-47 for remote attacks and when she shoots, it always seems like she's holding her rifle next to my ears, not matter where she stands. A hundred yards away or ten, makes no difference in sound volume.
THANK YOU! The fake gunshots were driving me nuts with trying to figure out who was getting shot at. I thought the damn things were real. GRRRRR.I love you. This is great.
It breaks my immersion knowing that when I hear a (fake) gunshot in the background it's not actually happening, so I removed the ambient gunshots, simple.
The real gunshots are a lot more noticeable when you install the other mod mentioned in the description. This helps increase the immersion and makes it so that the only gunshots you hear are from actual guns.
