I love these people who comment about using console commands. In case people don't know it does render all achievements unobtainable on Steam if you use the console.
@ ghostastronaut .... not for me. I used the noclip command (tcl) because I spawned inside a door (for a mod, not the base game) and couldn't escape. afterwords, I got some random achievements as if nothing happened.
This gives you a feeling of reward. You get this once you unlock the safehouse which is propably either just before or after you confront Benny, depending on how you play.
Personally i think that the Ranger Sequioa is a great gun and i want to get it for most of my characters, and this mod makes the Ranger Sequioa easier to get since it is really hard getting it without cheats and i don't want the chief to die.
So i think this mod is essential for players who want to try a NCR Ranger roleplay and i think that this mod would be fairly balanced if the Ranger Sequioa was damaged when you find it cause getting this gun early on with no damage whatsoever wouldn't be so fair.
Simple, but essential if you roleplay as an NCR ally.
Might be better if your character receives it as a reward when you decide to protect that 'special someone' by keeping his secret. That way both supporters of the Legion -kill the one who carries the Sequoia- and supporters of the NCR -be nice- can obtain it through a means that is very much in line with roleplaying.
I'll be back to endorse when the site lets me.
P.S.: people who roleplay as an independent character -with no allegiance to anyone but themselves- can determine how to acquire it in any way that fits their character.
