"When you open PN Rebalance all menus will look the same. It doesn't matter, we'll fix this later. 1 - Click on Miscellaneous, then click on max level. It will display a strange value. Set it to default and then exit it without saving. "
but there is no "max level" on miscellaneous? I can't find it. Btw I don't use PN extra options. I tried use another mod for expand level cap. and it seems to work when I check with "getgs" command but standard Project nevada max level slide bar in Character always force it back to level 50 which is maximum in PN. so I think I should change PN level cap. at the first place, right? In fact I did this before (like 5-6 years ago) I can remember I modified the max level slide bar in PN it to level 255 but I can't remember how to do. The modify trick that mess up PN is very familiar to me, I think I did this before but I can't see Max level in Miscellaneous. :S
Ok here's how I got it to work and still keep the extra options:
When you open PN Rebalance all menus will look the same. It doesn't matter, we'll fix this later. 1 - Click on Miscellaneous, then click on max level. It will display a strange value. Set it to default and then exit it without saving. 2 - Now click on Character and then on max level again. You should be able to set it to any value now. 3 - Exit the menu and check on your pip-boy if everything is correct. If it is, make a new save and quit game. 4 - You may now disable the mod and start the game again The old options should be back and the level cap that you set should still be active.
Thanks, this actually did work, though you could be a bit more exact, go to mod config menu, PN rebalance, misc, go to max level, click default then cancel, without leaving mod config menu go to character, then click max level again and you can set it.
But yeah it actually worked so thanks a mill, coulden't bear to part with extra option mod, love the eletric sheep challanges.
Could also just use http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39906/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D39906&pUp=1
And not worry about messing up your MCM menus or any of that extra hasle, just make sure you load it after PN.
IFNV becomes pretty unstable when it reaches that point so far a mod has done the same thing, this time with a warning that reaching 100 and beyond will make the game more unstable (100 is the breaking point) here is the link to the mod https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64662/?tab=description
This mod still glitches out with the extra options 1.3 patch however you can download the extra options mcm fix to be able to use this mod without breaking the values.
OK. I am not going post links and all, but this addressed in part in the first post of the Project Nevada Rebalance forum page. If you activated both the PN rebalanced AND the mac level cap fic at the same time..with no MCM fix... you will get messed up menu's. If you deactivate the Max level cap your rebalanced option will disappear. There is a link to an MCM menu patch fix that needs to be applied first. Then activate the uncapped level patch. THEN follow the directions to select a max level in the first stuck post here. It works like a charm.
