this mod suck because i cant just use vortex to get this awesome mod and why this is only one greatsword mod what is worth trying every else looks like too short sword or just some standard s#*! from some bad fantasy inspiration those two nexus mods what i found or was it three is total trash i dont start port fallout mods because its not work then mod would be much better and then even unique if some even try make this kind mod where is not missing single way just use vortex if someone would just do this i would give good words myself in comment and i would apriciarate that i just am fucking tired and disapointed bye
Ok So I will attempt to be as honest as possible while also giving this mod the credit it deserves.
1st of all to all of the people complaining about having to download the meshes and textures from some Fo3 mods. It took me less than 4 minutes to do so (thank you to Shadowspartan for the explanation) You guys are just spoiled by the convenience of NMM and doing a tiny bit of work copy and pasting a couple folders makes you whine when not even taking into consideration the amount of time the author put into porting this to FNV.
That being said. The only real problem with this mod is that when you get it installed correctly and working. The author did not put the weapons in a container like he should have. They are lined up along the walls of the vicky and vance casino. They are causing lag as soon as you enter the casino and it gets even worse if an NPC or the player bumps into one because they Domino over each other and the physics freak out for a bit until they settle.
Also they have to be stolen from one of the most irritating buildings to steal from in the early game. It is populated by 8-10 NPCs and Slim prim the annoying robot who loves to walk up and go "Watcha doin?" while you are trying to steal one of them without getting caught.
So I would say to the author if he/she is even still monitoring this Mod that it looks good the weapons are nice damage seems stable not too OP but not vanilla either. Installation was a little inconvenient but definitely not worth crying over. But for the future please put the weapons in a container I get that you wanted them displayed and it does look cool, but it doesn't work on a resource level.
Still Thank you for taking the time to port this over to FNV.
It really wouldn't have been hard for all this to have been put together in the first place. I'm sorry, but this was just pure laziness on nofear88's part. For those who are having issues: Go to the Fallout 3 section of nexusmods. Look up the mods that are mentioned in his description ("Asharas FFXIII Lightning Gunsword and Armour", "Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core Buster Sword", and "Weapon Conversions Pack"). The only files you're interested in from these mods are the Mesh folders and Texture folders (drag these into the data folder for your FONV directory). Put nofear88's .esp file in the same data folder. Activate the mod and you're set. Huge props to SydneyB, DoubleBrewski, and Tartarak for making such fine weaponry. I'm enjoying being able to use these in New Vegas.
Thanks for the help, I used to play with the Red Queen as you can tell by my pictures, but I totally forgot how I got it. I knew it was from a pack but no idea how. It'll be cool to have a legion playthrough with that weapon.
I agree 100%, pure laziness! I shouldn't have had to DL and manually copy meshes+textures of THREE different Fallout 3 mods to install this one FNV mod!
Look nofear88 this mod has great potential, but you have to make it so we don't require Fallout 3 and a bunch of mods for that to make it work... I don't have Fallout 3, and I probably never will, so this mod is currently beyond my reach. You make this thing work without Fallout 3, and you'll get a ton of endorsements.
So what your saying is that we need FO3 in the first place for this...and even if we didnt its a pain in the ass to get it to work. Would have loved to actually use these
