Hey thanks for this, really. This was the only resource I could find anywhere on how to do an installer in XML. Without this how was anyone supposed to know how to make an installer? Were they just supposed to pull random code out of their ass and hope it worked?
I just wanted to drop in and say thank you for your guide. I have used it to make an over 8000 line long installer for combining different armor mods together in Skyrim. Very useful guide and thank you.
Alrighty so I'm having a problem here. I've tried 2 of your mods, the combat sneak and cripple and the combat and sneak. I manually dl'ed them both, couldnt figure out what the manager was, and installed them, one at a time, under the data folder. Opened the exe, clicked data files, there it was. Checked it and checked load loose files. Opened the game and speed was same as always. Dont know how to get this to work, would be grateful for any help as your mod seems the best as I like that it takes you out during combat, please help! Many thanks.
EDIT: Figured it out. Didnt see the part about the box at goodsprings. I went full retard. Nice mod.
Ah, someone finally did this. I've been meaning to, but your method is way better than anything I would have done.
Point of interest though, both Project Nevada and uHUD use C# scripts for their installs, way more powerful script method. But for almost every other mod, the xml files work great. I've been writing install scripts for mods for 2 years now, makes everything so much easier.
