Hello, sorry that my question might be dumb to be ask with. Im still new to mods.

is there any guide for manual install for this mod? since Vortex doesn't support the auto download and auto installation from it.
im pretty sure i can't afford to uninstall all available mods on my Vortex to change it into FOMM since im almost reach into the end of my games in current run.

You can download the zip file and use Vortex's "Drop File(s)" function that's below your mod list on the mods tab. Just drop the zip file there and it will install like any other.

This mod is somewhat outdated. Stewies Tweaks can do the same thing, and more than this mod.

hey hello, I'm using Stewies tweaks, but can you please tell me how I configure so that weapon mods become detachable?

Stewie Tweaks already features a Tweak that lets you attach and remove weapons mods from weapons freely, as well has another tweak that lets you see if a weapon has weapon mods available for it and which ones.

      Yep.
I can confirm this piece of helpful advice. It's called 'unequip weapon mods', or something like that. I was getting the CTD when I attached weapon mods in game. Simply went into IStewie AI's Tweaks, enabled and now, no CTD. Great advice.

Ok first off thank you both and secondly why in Sweet Sandy Hell of the Mojave are these comments not pinned? Saved me from messing around with this mod unnecessarily.

Doesn't unbug my Riot Shotgun showing the 2 mods I had installed on it as "Mod 2" and opening up the mod menu in-game with X crashes the game. Oddly enough it still works just fine and can be equip/unequip, I just can't access mods on it. Super weird.

why in Sweet Sandy Hell of the Mojave are these comments not pinned?

Because this mod is 10 years old, I would assume the mod author is long gone.

As Fomm is kinda meh these days. This mod is pretty dead, even though it should still work. But making a mod exclusive to a mod manager and saying straight no to the manual install process that is the foundation of modding has blocked this mods future.  Best option is IStewie

EDIT: Wait, still works through NMM. f*#@ Vortex, never even install or touch that shit.

Personally I made the swap to MO2 and never went back, have you tried it? it makes it easy to put stuff into virtual folders so you don't get the Bethesda jank from installing and uninstalling mods, and it is much easier to use LOOT bc it is partially built into how it lets you change your load order.

Yeah MO2 is the superior loader across the board, works for almost anything

      Oblivion? Yep.
      - However a mod requires Wyre to be put in a patch? No problem, just download Wyre as a tool and it'll automatically export back into MO2.

      Run into a BAIN installation?
      - Has BAIN support

You run into a badly sorted mod?
      - Filtrees are easy to change.

That's just the tip of it all too, god bless MO2!

this somewhat messes up my pip boy it gets weird text at the edges and takes too long to open my pip boy...removing it solved the headaches and I know the problems are on my end but I dunno how to fix it.So i just followed the dude who said to use stewie's fixes instead. This is a great mod tho and probably helped a lot of the old players.Kudos to the author and thanks for your hard work

This might be a stab in the dark, but when trying to install this mod on NMM I get a message saying "An exception has occured in the script." Is there a known solution or workaround for this?

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm running through a similar issue. I can spam the attach button all day long, but the mod doesn't go on.

use  IStewieAls tweaks instead it does the same thing (albeit without that stylish new menu)

To anyone who may be reading this, I used to use this mod back in the day, but nowadays its a bit obsolete. In IStewieAls tweaks there is a "remove weapon mods" tweak that does exactly what this mod does (albeit with less style)

go to settings there will be a tweaks option at the top (so you can't miss it) after clicking that search for unequip weapon mods click that  restart the game (by quitting to the desktop) and boom (you can also click the option to show unowned mods) if you don't see tweaks you installed the mod wrong after that point it's as simple as clicking the mod to remove it
