Cool idea! But the great big looming problem is that, as with all drugs in F:NV, there simply aren't enough drugs in the entire game world to maintain an addiction for one person...which makes it weird that the game world is full of addicts somehow maintaining their addiction. There needs to either be a LOT more drugs in the game world, or the drug effects need to last a LOT longer. Maybe after the drug effect wears off, there is an additional buffer timer before the withdrawal kicks in.
I think jet in particular should have a short duration before withdrawal kicks in (somewhere in the range of 2 to 5 minutes). There should just be lots of jet in the world and it should be cheap and easy to make. The vendors should sell more of it, it should have a lower price per unit, and the Great Khans should be able to produce more of it per day. Oh and Dixon shouldn't be selling any normal jet or whiskey, but he should have HUNDREDS of his special variants. >:P
I'm in the middle of a Fallout 2 playthrough, I should have never tried jet, I'm totally addicted to the stuff. I'm basically just gonna grind for a while so I can kill people, take their weapons and stuff and sell it for jet
This is not for me. Seldom use chems anyway, so I can live with vanila limitations. That said, I like the idea. In FO2 I always tried to do that quest -if my PC was smart enough :-) Partly because I loved teasing Myron, partly because it seemed the right thing to do. Hence a kudos is heading your way, because I like your way of thinking. And the readme was worth a smile or two ;-)
