1. This is a cheat. 2. It's useless since you can sneak the gold out while encumbered (but i guess it makes lugging them out of bunker less of annoyance). 3. This mod somewhat makes sense since it is written right on the bars that they supposed to weight 10 ounces. It would make it more accurate to make them weight 0,62 in game, but i guess 0,5 is close enough.
Holy crap this entire chain of comments is either people complaining about a mod that reduces the weight of some gold bars or the fact they get salty about how 'its cheating' when thats the point. Bloody varlets man. . .
I hated the DLC, I despised how linear it is for an openworld game, and I completely lost it when I couldn't pick up the gold bars. F*** it, I don't care if it's cheating, I EARNED that gold. Thank you for making this
You do realize the DLCs were never intended to be open right? You do realize the DLC does not take place in an open world right? I hope you also realize Obsidian is not particularly brilliant when it comes to shaping an open world, hence why even the base game's Mojave Wasteland feels very restrictive and enclosed. Either way, instantly earning 400k caps can be quite game-breaking.
Who cares if it's cheating? That's the point of the Wasteland, kiddo. Best man wins. Social Darwinism in action right before our eyes. You EARNED that gold, trust me. Putting up with a nutty fucking Ex-Elder of the Brotherhood? Nah. You earned it. Lol.
Bethesda fanboy spotted. Time to channel my inner Ben Shapiro. Doing the math, 10 ounces roughly translates into 0.625 pounds. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO with that outta the way, this mod is for sure lore friendly.
Hypothetically, the DLC isn't about the material aspect of things, but the ideals and premonitions that preceded the Courier's intervention. That being The ideology of the Brotherhood, Legion, and NCR. All clinging to old world values. Old World Blues descends into this topic as well, and does a tad bit of a better job at conveying that premise. (Under the fact that the whole DLC was a massive intended MEME.) But isn't that the beauty of this game? The fact that different players take different meaning on the same scenario? Like Veronica said, There's what Father Elijah taught her, and what she took away from it, the idea of what she doesn't want to become.
" But isn't that the beauty of this game? The fact that different players take different meaning on the same scenario" sure different players may interpret different meanings from the game and its dlcs, but there is definitely a "CORRECT" theme that the writers specifically intended the story and the dlcs to have, the idea that imperialism is bad is a primary theme of the main game, so if someone came away with the "interpretation" that the main story promotes imperialism, they would be objectively wrong.
haven't played this mod and won't i dont reccomend this its just a cheat i snuck out of the vault overencumbered AND you cant even sell the gold bars normally because it'll become a negative value
did you hit your head against a brick wall before you wrote this comment? why did you even bother typing this out if you didn't even use the mod? do you really have that high of an opinion of yourself that you actually thought your opinion mattered to literally anyone lmfao " i dont reccomend this its just a cheat" yea okay buddy.
The story line for Dead Money was fucking beautiful. It's harder and makes your play in a different way then you usually do in regular NV. The only thing I didn't like about ti, is that it had a few bugs.
Dead Money is also beyond linear and totally contradicts the idea of an open world game. If the DLC is going to go against the main game, then I'm going against the DLC.
although if you are a realism hound this is certainly not for you, gold bricks are seriously heavy, I went to the melbourn gold rish museum in ausy, and they let people try to lift a gold brick effing heavy for ther size, in truth the gold bars in the game are heavier than reality (standard weight being about 27lbs), but still all 37 would weigh nearly 1000 pounds, and.... well I dont think a human could carry all that, maybe if you asked dog to help. I iwill use this cause I want to display some gold. In addition "the hardest part is letting go"
Only worthwhile part of Dead Money is getting a BAR & a pile of gold bars.. that story was so hilariously bad. Well, a masterpiece by today's standards but annoying by any other.
what do you think influences Father Elijah in terms of his ethics and political philosophy? I would hardly call the writing bad when most people don't even bother to really listen to what he says and how he heavily parallels the ethical and political philosophy of Ted Kaczynski, something that most large mega corps would never have the balls to do and would immediately smash the big red alert button the moment one of there writers/artists attempted to actual be creative and insert a message into there art, because the corps just want dopamine producing style slot machines such as fallout 4 and 3 and Skyrim smdh.
I just usually put it up in my spaceship the Red Star from Tale of Two Wastelands. Lol. Humanity isn't ready for this vault dweller's power yet. -Flex-
Thanks. I usually give myself unlimited carry weight with console commands to take the gold bars. Then after I've sold my gold bars, I would set my carry weight back to what it was. This mod will make it much less cheaty for me. lol
