Wish there was a mod like this but tries to be as faithful to the classic balance of the game. By this i mean everything, like crippling not being a thing iirc. Weapons and armor all having the same damage thresholds (as the originals) and weight values, player always being able to sprint outside of combat, vendors selling ammo packs instead of individual bullets (there is a mod for this one but i read they're dirt cheap). Allowing the hardening of power armor. Guns and melee always having miss chances (like the hit chances from vats) and so on.
Idk what else i am missing bc it's been a long while since i played Fallout games.
My question now is what would be the most accurate changes to opt-in on this mod's installation. Do we have to tick everything for it?
How can I completely uninstall this mod? I uninstalled it via Vortex but my hp and carry weight are on the same values as in NV with this mod, even on old saves.
If you use Mod Organizer 2, your New Vegas Modded will be a separate insance than vanilla. THis ensures that you can ALWAYS keep EVERYTHING separate and organized. It basically creates a new quasi NV installation folder that accesses it's own Data folder. I recommend uninstalling everything and looking into Mod Organizer, Really Simple to use once you get it hooked up to download NMM links. It works seemlessly when downloading from the website.
I have 110 active mods right now, but most of them are Vanilla Plus-ish tweaks and changes. My issue may or may not be from this mod, but this is one of the very few, if not, only mod(s) that change the damage/DT/DR Values. I just did a quick skim of my mods and this seems to be the most likely culprit. Perhaps stewie's tweaks are doing something?
My issue is this: I just started my new save with all the mods, I am at Primm right now, and the convicts there take almost NO damage from the varmint rifle using regular .22lr ammo. 10mm pistol and 9mm pistol also seem to do almost nothing. Plasma pistol, recharger rifle, single shotgun.. The convicts are absolutely soaking up this damage. BUT It is mostly present on the convicts with Trooper Helmet/Goggles helmets with 2 DT. I am guessing there is not enough pen to really go through that, BUT a single shotgun at point blank range should not do, seemingly, around 5 damag. It should AT LEAST do a 3rd of their HP.
It seems it's related to armor values and penetration, although I think I've noticed headshots do much much less dmg than normal(Vanilla NV + JSawyers) also on people with no head armor. I've noticed it at the powder gangers at goodsprings too, just seemingly to a lesser extent.
So is this working as intended? Is there some stacked armor values from other mods or something? Any help/insight is appreciated, thank you in advance.
Your changes to carry weight single handedly made me uninstall this mod, but even after uninstalling my entire new vegas and it associated files ITS STILL HERE, i hate you glorified virus
That's not how reinstalling the game worked. If the effects are still there after a reinstall that means you OBJECTIVELY didn't remove all of the files first. As a heads up, just uninstalling the game doesn't actually remove the mods. You have to manually go into your game's install location, documents section, and even your app data section to MANUALLY remove everything if you want to truly get rid of everything.
hey there,can i use stewie's tweaks to make the companions have unlimited ammo?i understand they are not meant to but i find it a tedious chore to keep hunting for ammo for them
So I was going for a low intelligence build only to notice that my skill points were drastically reduced to a measly 6. Not too big a deal since I had tagged the more important skills. But then I come across the atrocious prices for weapons. 70000 caps for a fucking weapon because my barter was at 25. This mod is so stupid and retarded. Do not get this mod, just get jsawyer and you're good.
Okay! You're mod is causing my screen to go solid magenta. I know it's this mod, because the game works fine after I uninstall it. I have no idea what could be causing this but it sucks, because I really wanted to try it out.
I've looked for the source of the issue and it's in CCODRArmorScanScript. Game Engine doesn't understand "armor.isInList CCODRLightArmor"
I've made my own fix (below) to avoid getting the error message, but that obviously doesn't solve the problem. I don't know what you had in mind with this function, can you find out what's wrong and update a fix?
Here is how I avoid the error message: Begin gamemode

Here is how I avoid the error message:
Begin gamemode
set armor to player.getEquippedObject 2
if armor == 0
return
endif
if TesTExpr armor.isInList CCODRLightArmor
if getArmorDT armor <= 15 && armor.isInList CCODRLightArmor == 0
addFormToFormList CCODRLightArmor armor
endif
elseif TesTExpr armor.isInList CCODRMediumArmor
if (getArmorDT armor > 15 && getArmorDT armor <= 20 && armor.isInList CCODRMediumArmor == 0)
addFormToFormList CCODRMediumArmor armor
endif
elseif TestExpr armor.isInList CCODRHeavyArmor
if getArmorDT armor > 20 && armor.isInList CCODRHeavyArmor == 0
addFormToFormList CCODRHeavyArmor armor
endif
endif
end
