Although my game no longer crashes, I still experience microshutering, what can I do? There are several causes of mircoshutering, from drivers to visual mods and tools that hijack direct3d, try to have everything as clean as possible, also try a new driver if possible, reboot the system, etc, try to be methodical searching for the root cause, ask in the comments when you already have some testing information to share, I will make a video about microshutering soon.

Spent about 2 hours getting this to work on Windows 10. You really should put the following up for Windows 10 users so that they know what to do:
1) Set GameCompanion to run in Windows 7 Compatability Mode 2) Set GameCompanion to be Run as an Administrator. 3) Add a "#" in front of FalloutNV.exe and FalloutNV.4gb in the GameCompanion Configuration "Auto FFMode/VFMode" list. 4) Add "#fnv4gb.exe" to the GameCompanion Configuration "Auto FFMode/VFMode" list. 5) Add the following lines under "[Display]" in the Fallout ini file (or modify them to the following if they are already there): 5.1)sSize W=XXX (Where XXX is your horizontal screen resolution) 5.2)isSize H=YYY (Where YYY is your vertical screen resolution) 5.3)bFull Screen=0

Bad mod! Dont use any fake fullscreen mods... had the biggest load order with no errors but no desktop and one little mod brought the whole tower down!!!!!
No, they are not. Bethesda is bad for not making borderless windows possible in their games in the first place. These mods do something with the game that isn't supposed to be possible. They are all old and since then the OS has changed several times. It's absolutely understandable that they don't run as well with Win10 or 11 as they did with earlier versions.
I've tried uninstalling this mod but I still get the big honkin' "FF MODE" popup and my game still tries to change into windowed mode. How do I completely remove this mod?
EDIT: It worked the first time I started the game with the addon. But after that, I see the addon trying (the FFMode text shows) but the game ignores it.
Not sure what I am doing wrong, FNV ends up in a window in the upper left hand corner. I have enabled window mode in the vanilla launcher and it a couple of ini's and have set to the suggested resolution. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
I have tried all the various other borderless window options for this game, and maybe I'm not smart enough to use them? But, they never seem to work for me. Alt tab, would not let me switch to desktop, only to other open tabs. And that was an issue for when the game inevitably crashes. It would crash/lockup, and my only course was to ctrl alt dlt, and log out of windows. This is old for sure, but it works for me. It worked on my old Windows 8.1 PC, and it works currently on my new Windows 11 PC. Can alt tab to desktop, and then close the locked up New Vegas, no logging out of windows or restart required.
Theyre all bad! Bad mods!!!!!! If it used to work then none of them seem to be working now. I get locked into window mode and have all the same issues seems others have been having too! Now I just want it gone and it keeps coming back to haunt me. Im on another clean install again!

Works fine with Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines, the games vsync mode causing low fps so it can be fixed in two ways: limiting fps_max or running game in windowed mode, running in windowed mode is more better because vsync turns off in windowed mode and fps is not limited. I'm open to suggestions like kind of this for better vampire masquerade experience, the game is old but gold. Thanks...
