I) Introduction

New Vegas Trade Center(NVTC) is a quest/building mod for Fallout: New Vegas.
The goal of this mod is to bring a small sense of economy, business and finance into the Fallout universe.

Fallout universe has a strong mid-20th century theme, and I thought it would be refreshing
to introduce the popular financing methods of mid-20th century such as purchasing stocks, getting loans,
opening an banking account, keep a check-book, etc.

NVTC is not lore-friendly and as of version 1.0.0, there is no voice acting. So if these are your major concerns, this mod isn't for you.

II) Location / Interiors

New Vegas Trade Center is located in the center of Freeside.
It occupies an entire block between Silver Rush and King's House of Impersonation.

(*Thus any mod that uses this space will be imcompatible with this mod)

New Vegas Trade Center is a 3-story building with 2 basement floors.
Every location/interior is fully navmeshed. Feel free to bring your companions and roam around.

- 3rd Floor: Manager's Office
Marketing Office
Radio Tower Control Room

- 2nd Floor: Loan Office
Repomen's Quarter
Organ Collection Room
Jail

- Main Floor: Frontdesk
Investment Center
Marketplace

- B1 Floor: Bank

III) Main Features

Main features of NVTC include:

- Share-investment
- Loans
- Savings Account
- Currency Conversion
- Cashier's Check Print
- Storage/Auto-Delivery Service
- Trade


A. Share-Investment
- Player can purchase/sell shares at anytime from Investment Center.
- The price of share goes up and down at random.
- Player can manage the spending rate of company if he/she holds enough shares.
(*Some companies will not allow this feature.)
- Once every 2 weeks, profits from invested companies will be returned to player via Bank.
- There are over +30 companies you can invest.
- There is no fee for selling and purchasing shares. (Version 1.0.0)


B. Loans
- Player can borrow money from Loan Office.

- If player fails to payback the full amount (principal + interest) by the due date,
Loan Office will send the Repomen to collect the payment.
- Repomen are not friendly.

C. Savings Account
- Player get a free savings account when the account is opened at the frontdesk.
- Every 2 weeks, fixed +2% of entire deposited bottle caps will be added to the account.

D. Cashier's Check Service
- Player can purchase a NVTC cashier's check.
- The purpose of this service is for hardcore players who do not wish to carry millions of bottle caps around.
- There is no fee, but the check's real value may be slightly lower than what player paid for.

E. Currency Conversion
- Player can exchange different types of currency such as :

- NCR Money
- Caesar's Legion Coins
- Ultra Luxe, The Tops, Gomorrah, Atomic Wrangler, Vikki and Vance Casino Chips.

- NCR Money will be converted to bottle caps at face-value.
- Caesar's Legion Coins will be converted to bottle caps at real value.
- There is no fee for using this service. (Version 1.0.0)

F. Storage Rooms
- Player gets a free personal storage when he/she opens an account.
- Player can also purchase private storage rooms.

- There will be a delivery robot right outside of the building.

G. Trade
- Player can trade with 6 unique merchants at the marketplace.


1. Physician
- Physician can heal, remove radiation and addictions for price.
- All medical equipments and chems for sale.
- Also, special medicine/chems are being sold for high cost.

2. Scavenger
- Scavenger sells almost all MISC. items.
- Scavenger may sell a bulk of MISC items afor very high price.

3. Joker
- Joker can sell a bag of random for 100 caps.
- Bag of Random may contain any item including junk MISC items to precious unique weapons.

4. Bookseller
- Bookseller sells a dozen of readable books.
- Readable Books can be selected from Pipboy Inventory screen.
- Some readable books are:
- "Art of War" by Sun Tzu (First 3 chapters)
- "Famous Gambling Quotes" by W. Jones
- "Pint Sized Slasher" by Walter Munroe
- "Bill of Rights: The First 10 Amendments" by James Madison

- This Month's Best Seller: "How to Become a Millionaire" by Dree

5. Gun Nut
- This weapon dealer sells all types of firearms and ammo.
- No energy weapon or energy ammo can be found from this shop.
- Gun Nut also sells unique weapons that use totally unfitting ammo types.

6. Armorer
- Armorer sells heavy combat armors, faction armors and power armors.
- Armor also sell unique faction armors for extremely high price.

IV) Side Quests (No Spoilers)

A. Tutorial Quest: Player gets a simple tutorial quest when this mod is loaded.

B. NVTC Manager is looking for a repair master who knows about Tesla technology.

C. NVTC Manager is looking for a professional locksmith.

D. Bank Storage Officer is looking for a hacker who knows a lot about explosives.

E. Frontdesk Receptionist is looking for a ruthless wastelander.

V) Installation / Uninstallation


A. Installation
- Download "New Vegas Trade Center Version 1.0.0.7z"
- Extract the file above with tools like 7zip or WinRar.
- Copy New Vegas Trade Center.esp over to
..\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\

- Load New Vegas Trade Center.esp (use FOMM if you prefer)

B. Uninstallation
- Unload New Vegas Trade Center.esp
- Delete New Vegas Trade Center.esp from
..\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\
- Come back here and write a comment why you uninstalled.

VI. Discussion Topics

- More realism: All the share prices rise/drop at random. In the future update,
if you commit a genocide in casino, their share price will go down dramatically.

- More item selection: Traders will have more selections to sell. If people like,
I can bring in the entire 13 chapters of Art of War.

- Home Equipty: Should player be allowed to puchase buildings and homes?

- Lottery: This was replaced by Joker's Bag of Random shop, but this could show up in the future update.

- Voice Actors: Please play the mod for once and let me know which NPC you want to voice act.
Your voice is golden and I will bash whoever laughs at it. I swear.
