This is a very nice, lore-friendly retexture. It's my favourite out of all the Joshua Graham armor retexture mods so far.
Just wanted to share a solution that worked for me -- I think the all-black appearance may be caused by a memory issue. I optimised the textures from this mod using DDSopt to reduce the file sizes to around 2.66MB each instead of 48MB each, which fixed the issue. The armor still looks plenty hi-res. (The problem only started for me in the first place after a few hours of playing and reloading old saves.)
It worked well during Honest Hearts but shortly after when I put in on Arcade it started turning black each time I enter a location. Reinstalling or reenabling invalidation doesnt help.

I trust you're aware of the bugs with shadows this causes? Around the arms and the chest, the shadows look a bit strange and don't line up properly. You can see it a bit in the screenshots. Know of any fix to that?

The matching of the boots, belt and grips of the pistol have always been very important to me.
