I have the same problem as EPD down below, only way for me to solve it is to uninstall it completely. Have to load back to before I entered the freeside area at all for the radios to play again too. :/
I eventually solved this problem by including in my radio mod (Music Pack RNV) customisable retuning functionality for any radio in the game. And when I did that I discovered (via someone else discovering) that because RNV has no radio template, it plays at a very quiet default volume, which is probably what's going on with this mod.
Fortunately, my radio mod has an optional file that assigns a customisable radio template for RNV as well. And changes are easily reverted without uninstalling anything. You can even revert without quitting the game if you know what you're doing (there are instructions).
And last, what puzzled me longest is that there's two trigger boxes which play a highly shortened and edited version of Ain't That a Kick in the Head, completely separate from any radios at all. If your Pip-Boy radio is on when you enter one however, it will just disable the trigger box and you won't hear that sound file.
What file are you talking about exactly? My main goal was to have the striptease radio replace RNV in this mod, remove the radpack changes (this probably breaks their performance) and the freeside changes (already have unique music there for the kings) from the kings club radio mod as well, i tried reverse engineering these two mods and utililing your advice on templates but can't get it to work still.
I personally used xedit to try and accomplish what you described, I plugged in the modded radio station and I saw the areas for templates, both on the radio and the speaker activators, So I tried plugging in a few from the speakers normal templates(loud, tops radio, etc). Best results I could get was it to work really well in the Gomorrah, somewhat quiet but acceptable on the strip, and totally unfunctional in the Tops no matter what I tried.
If you have any advice lemme know, I think all i need to figure out is the Tops
Not sure why but I think this is just making no sound come out of the speakers in casinos for me. It's near the end of my load order, so it shouldn't have any conflicts, and all the radios in the game world play my custom tracks just fine. Any ideas, anyone?
This mod is Great! I really got sick of hearing the same songs over and over again on speakers I couldn't shut off. I used this mod along with Jarols Radio Extender and now I get to hear what want to hear.
