I can apply the mods just fine, they just don't appear on the weapon, in either first or third person. The scope functions, but does not appear on the weapon, and near as I can tell, the laser sight works, it's just not there visually.
@Madcat221: There's a funky issue with the weight reduction... the mod's weight reduction works only when the weapon is unequipped. So the modded Gobi, when unequipped, actually REDUCES encumbrance by 1. But it doesn't hurt gameplay as far as I can tell.
The weight reducing mods don't work anyway, Antistar only really has them in there for the purposes of hoping that someday they fix it. The mods may list the weight as reduced in the weapon's weight stat, but in the actual pack weight count, it's still full weight.
Does the game crash when you apply the mod? Considering none of the weight mods work, I may just leave it alone. But if a negative weight value also causes the game to go bonkers, I'll fix.

there seems to be a bug, the Gobi rifle base weight is 4.5 ... but it has a mod to reduce weight by -5.
