I'm not trying to be a show stopper but "That Gun" that you can buy at Cliff Briscoe's shop is the same as Deckard's gun in Bladerunner, but good mod just the same.
Actually, the vanilla "That Gun" isn't an exact copy of Deckard's blaster from Blade Runner, probably for trademark reasons. This mod attempts to make it an exact copy, by altering the color, damage, the sound of it firing off (which is very skillfully sampled from the film), and the fact (I didn't even know this until I read it in the description) Deckard's blaster is supposedly modified so that it will never jam, and so after installing this mod, That Gun no longer jams while reloadng. Actually I think the author did some work on the meshes too, but they might have just brought out details with the accurate coloring work that I otherwise wouldn't have noticed. Anyway, aside from the fact that Deckard's blaster has two triggers, this mod makes That Gun a true in-game copy of the blaster, and the author is working on adding another trigger too. Playing with it after installing this mod, it's obvious that the author wanted to cover every meticulous detail and the effort shows. There are a few other mods out there for "That Gun", but none of them really flesh it out and make it a signature weapon like this mod does. And I don't mean to be rude, but did you read the description? Hats off to the author, I really just came here to share the love.
I would like to attempt to help you choose the correct version, though it appears you are confused about quite a few things...
"So looking at what you have said about WMX/WME, and I am using WMX, this mod will affect all of the .233 and the 12.7mm and That Gun pistols, or is the 12.7mm not included?"
WMX has been verified to cause conflict with my mod, and a solution was offered in order to counter this conflict, as was an alternate version of the mod (Version002).
As for the weapons this mod affects, it only affects "That Gun." There are no .233 caliber weapons in the Fallout series. Perhaps you are refering to the .223? If so, I mentioned that the .223 was used in Fallout and Fallout 2. "That Gun" is the equivalent of the former .223 (.223 cal. = 5.56mm). The 12.7mm is not mentioned anywhere in my mod?
"And if I want to use this mod, I must drop any of those weapons that I have in my inventory, and get an unmodded version of them which will allow me to use your mod, and then also mod them using WMX."
You will have to remove "That Gun" from your inventory before using Version001ALPHA, and then use an unmodified "That Gun." You will be unable to modify "That Gun" with WMX as it is intended to be used wiht MUW.
With Version002, you should be able to use "That Gun" without having to remove it from your inventory.
"I think that is what I am reading here.
And that would mean that I will need to use and go with your second choice.
Which is this one:
If you want the addition of a Second Trigger (like the gun in the film), then download Version001ALPHA and MUW.
Am I understanding everything and saying it right?"
Version001ALPHA is not the Second Choice. The Second Choice is Version002 (You'll note the 002). If you wish to use WMX, then I would recommend you download Version002.
I hope I was able to answer all of your questions and clear up any misunderstandings. Enjoy the mod!
