Actually such a fun mod. Nice to have a simple +50lb backpack (no -2 agility or -10ap nonsense without fixing it myself in the GECK). It surprisingly works well with power armor too. Kind of fun for my BoS playthrough right now where it looks like I'm out collecting energy weapons in the pack. I also love that the weapons and the duffle bag itself use whatever retextures you have in-game.
Could this be somehow ported into Fallout 3? Even if it's just the duffle bag with +50 to carry weight, without any weapons. It's the best "backpack" mod for New Vegas in my opinion
If you own both games then you could port it on your end, but I'm pretty sure the duffle bag wasn't in FO3, so it wouldn't be possible to release a mod like that publicly since as far as I know, Bethesda still prohibit asset ports between their games.
FANTASTIC work. My only tiny criticism is there's no sack full of explosives/rockets or unarmed weapons. But especially explosives because a sack full of different missiles would be sweet.
I was so happy when I found this mod! I wanted to find a backpack type mod to add to the immersion but every other mod has some (in my opinion) ridiculous and out of place backpack that makes your character look like they came from another game entirely. This was exactly what I was looking for!
One thing I was wondering is if there was any way to set the scale of the duffle bag when its on your back. All the ones in the game already and this one, when on the ground, look like a nice sized bag to store some supplies in. When you equip it however, its much larger and almost cumbersome and makes you stick out. I'm playing as a sniper, so to me it doesn't seem right to have a giant bag on your back to make you look like a giant brown blob moving in the distance. I like how you made it larger so actual weapons look like they would fit, but for me (and possibly others) my character only has a couple weapons like a rifle, pistol, and maybe a melee or thrown explosives. So while I have the rifle on my back, the other weapons could be in my bag and they would fit in the normal in-game mesh bag. Just an idea for players going with a minimally equipped character.
DBOG is sort of halfway between a joke mod and a "serious" mod; obviously it's poking fun at the ludicrous amount of stuff your character tends to carry around. The bag being large and bulky is the point, really.
Anyway, you can scale and reposition the bag and its contents in Nifskope, but it's not a super-simple change.
Excellent mod! This is exactly what I was looking for! My newest character is a hardcore survivalist and I wanted to make things more realistic, so this backpack mod was perfect. Most of the other backpack mods I looked at added a lot of new gameplay mechanics I didn't want, or had complicated installation. This mod is great because the installation in easy and all it adds is a backpack, and that's the way I like it.
My favorite mod hands down. Makes me finally wanna play 3rd person - IMO the ultimate cherry on the cake for those who mod NV for extreme realism. Thank you so much, wish there was an FO3 version (Oblivion, Skyrim?)
I know some for Skyrim, and yes I know this is 8 or so months old. Here are some links if anyone is interested.

(Man... DBOG. The mod where I could never decide if it was a joke mod or not.)

You can use a mod like Chinese Stealth Armour Helmet Detached to access it, however.
Endorsed
