How do you exactly install this mod? Do you add the ESP file directly to your Fallout New Vegas Data or can you just download with Mod Organizer and let it handle that part? I would like a little more than, just add to Data File Gopher, not trying to sound rude mate.

The file just contains an esp, so downloading and installing with NMM works just fine. Probably works with MO2 also, but I don't know since I never used it.

this is a super good mod since in my opinion you can learn how to use power armor by yourself like you can with things like driving, programming, engineering, science and such

Going back to FO3 and FNV for the first time in a decade, after having played FO4 for years, I forgot that in both former games you can't just hop into a Power Armour and vanish into the sunset. No, you need to LEARN how to rivet-up a suit and walk around in it, let alone killerize suspicious folk.

Thanks for his mod. Saves me and a lot of others from carrying around a Power Armor we can't use for a long while.

Well in The First Two Fallouts, You Didn't Need Training, Cause it's Just a Suit, Not a Rocket Ship.

Im playing through Fallout New California Gopher, and this mod will come in handy. I found Enclave Tesla armor being sold by a Raider vender at a map marker and wanted to use it. Before i found your mod, i had no way to find out who in the mod could train me to use it. Also, im subbed to you on Youtube and forgot you were a mod maker too XD.

I like the concept of this mod; it's ideal for people who want their characters to be affiliated with the Enclave Remnant or Brotherhood of Steel. Others might say this mod is cheating but you can always just not take the perk.

The Science requirements are good ideas - this is actually one of the least game-breaking perks I've seen. Kudos

You sir, just got another Kudo to add to your over 1600. Because anyone can hack power armor training through console, no fun, but rarely allows for someone to waste a mod slot for a mod that makes it for free, in fact you don't hear about, or get alot of feedback about power armor training mods, (let alone downloads or endorsements)because the people who typically download them either don't know about console commands, or are so busy balancing their other mods wont waste time, or a slot, with it. This is completely different.
First it does what every mod should, add immersion, and second, a believable and balanced way to do something that is considered one of the best features of the game. Without Power Armor, what would the load screens and game covers of most of the Fallout game franchise look like? And finally, so MANY MANY MANY MANY mods now enhance power armor with extra abilities, or perks that require actually power armor training, and add special effects etc, to really bring to life the immersion of power armor. That's my opinion, which is enhanced by the fact your Perk adds an element to the game that should have been introduced with the FIRST Fallout game onward. That's a feat in itself, and when you have a long time player, who has limited space for mods for game stability, and is removing mods that have been used for years just to fit your mod, YOU HAVE DONE YOUR JOB GOOD SIR.

Upon further review I can see how a potential downloader would disagree with your Perks requirements . Skills 40 Science and Repair, and level setting, 6. I however, say change nothing. Furthermore I completely agree with you, and I will share why as well as enlighten other users of this perk, and potential downloaders why. First if someone doesn't like it, they can GECK it to their needs. A couple people have, and the people who have shared as much now enjoy their game better and still love the perk. I for one will share why I think the requirements are perfectly set and balanced.
Second, at level 6, most characters by level 6, are still getting one shotted by geckos. Especially the ones who have the science and repair specialty at 40. Either they wasted the few perks and traits they have to attain this rank, or because they play the game on the hardest setting. Even normal setting, lets face it, if you are at the minimum of 40 science AND repair, you either tagged these skills, have a really high intelligence, or otherwise nerfed your combat and defense skills to get here by exactly level 6. The majority of players will take this perk later on, either at a level they have finally obtained power armor, can afford to buy it from vendors, (by this point if you are rich enough to buy power armor, your game is probably heavily modded and out of balance with Vanilla Fallout anyway and this is all a moot point), and can afford to have it repaired regularly, That brings me to the next point, regular maintenance. You finally got your armor, your level 6, yay, its damaged, how do you repair it? Wanna raid the Brotherhood? Have you gotten to end game with Arcade and gifted the family armor? Can you afford to buy more from some random merchant who has been modded somehow? Do you use console cheats? Chances are if you you are using this perk, console commands are not your thing, because you never would have downloaded this awesome mod in the first place. Nope at level six you are carrying around 40-45 lbs of armor, that isnt fully repaired, and even if it is, it is getting damaged fast. Its giving you DT what, 14 at best?, when badly damaged. That's an awful alot of weight a scavenger who want's loot can't afford when there are cheaper ways to have better DT until you can afford repairs, or take Jury Rig, and that's many levels away most likely. And if for some reason you have legit funds, probably from lucky gambling, you are spending so much of it, you are missing out on cool guns and ammo, and your offense is suffering mid levels. You will need to rely on critical hits, and from afar, as all your money is in armor repair...so....sneaking? Well bad news, heavy armor like that is massive penalties. You are also moving alot slower. I hear all your arguments on level 6. Unless heavily modded or console command cheating, your arguments are invalid. If someone wants to struggle lower level , with Power Armor, let them. So concludes my view on level requirement, now lets talk Skill requirement, Science and Repair 40.

I ask you remove yourself from the game mechanic, and imagine you have a suit of power armor in front of you. You would only need time and know how if it was fully operational. True the first thing you would do was jump into it and try to make ti move, but without knowing the controls, or wether it has other systems that hook into your body somehow, or read certain things, or need to adjust to your DNA, etc etc, it moves a little but is far from functional. In other words, you would need how to reverse engineer, analyze, take apart, run tests, then reassemble what you took apart in proper order. Do some live testing, finalize, then you would theoretically know how to start using the armor. Knowing what everyone knows about Science and Repair in Fallout by countless hours of game time, that's EXACTLY what these levels of Repair and Science do. By Repair 25, you are really good at repairing almost everything at least at the rudimentary level, you are even recharging energy cells(Science 25), and building basic crafts. And bullets? PAh-leeeze, if it doesn't have a complicated casing, explosives, or piercing or hollow point chemical need, you are pulling apart, rationing gun powder, reassembling, orgainizing, and carefully maintaining, casings, and other regular maintenance components of bulletry. By Science 25 you are hacking passwords, I dont mean guessing, I mean you are in the same computer system that runs a power suit, actually using a back door, only someone proficient with computers would ever find, let alone utilize. Sure you are only starting, but its easy peasy to run diag, or check what program runs what, what threads to connect, what macro is in use, and how to utilize them for your needs etc. Obviously this isn't done in detail in game, but it's a simple fact with today's computers, which are, by far inferior, and already most of you have the equivalence of SCIENCE 30 minimum. By Repair and Science 50? Good god, your building Robots, controlling them, hacking most civilian and industrial grade systems, I really don't need to go much further. By 40 in either you really got your head wrapped around what y0u do, you haven't "quite" reached true proficiency, but running a few measley routines, and opening up a few panels to check wires and circuits, then putting it all back together again once your tests ascertain how it runs? Well within your skill. 40 , not in one of them, BUT BOTH, is quite something to attain, especially when one is juggling survival skills in the Mojave, and again is another reason why level 6 isn't an issue by itself, as you need to be quite proficient in both Science and Repair. Any tribal of level 1 with 5 in all skills could be shuffled on into a Brotherhood or Enclave bunker, shown how, and walk away with a gleaming suit of Power Armor. I see how needing training is a must, especially with complex systems. But anyone with great proficiency can open up panels, run tests, hack systems, run more tests, , pull out parts and wires, then reassemble it, with proper skill in computers and mechanics. Remember 40 is 40 percent of absolute human mastery in either, if you needed to be more than 40 percent knowledgeable , in two fields, to figure out a suit of power armor, how is it anyone else could be told and shown by a trained individual, how to use it and never have an issue again? Because it's not that complicated once you know what you are looking for, you just need to be a decent mechanic and compute operator to find out on your own.

I could also recommend this small and underrated mod, which does the same thing, without using a Perk slot. Also, it fits in great lore-wise. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37837/?

This mod is very useful with the DUST Survival Simulator mod, which makes leveling up much more difficult from the lack of quests. Recommend using this mod if you use DUST and wish to use the power armor used in the mod.
