Welcome to the Survivalist Bunker:
While there are many housing mods out there, I could not find one to suit my personal taste for New Vegas. This is the result. The Survivalist Bunker is conversion of my Hidden Sanctum Mod for Fallout 3.
UPDATE: The latest version (1.2) corrects some minor sorting issues with the refrigerator. It also changes the crafting stations to be compatible with other mods that add new recipes. This was done primarily to make sure the bunker was compatible with future Downloadable Content. While the stove and chemistry set have not been changed, a Campfire was added to the exterior for the bunker resident's convenience.
The Survivalist Bunker is all about managing your inventory and providing minimal wasted downtime. It is a base of operations for a survivalist. With that in mind you will not find a lame jacuzzi or swimming pool for wasteland Barbie dolls, a convoluted layout, trophy rooms, separately loaded areas, or free equipment.
Overview:
What you will find is a companion friendly bunker that emphasizes simplified inventory management. Everything should have its own place. All crafting items are neatly sorted and stored. Items having no use are automatically sorted to the "Junk Trunk" by the exit. Allowances for sorting 3rd party mod items have been made as well.
This mod also introduces my EZ Logistics Configurable Duffle Bag - more commonly referred to as the "Ready Bag". Access the EZ Logistics terminal and tell the computer what you want in the bag and how much. Everything you need will be pulled from storage automatically and put in the Ready Bag. Just grab the bag on your way out and restock your supplies in one second or less.
In addition to the inventory management system, I have included decontamination equipment to remove radiation from your yourself, your food and your water. The decontamination system relies on a RadAway storage tank to function and includes an animated meter to let you know when to recharge the system.
Finally, the Survivalist Bunker includes these features as well:
- Self stocking shelves and decorations that will appear as items are recovered from the wasteland.
- A complete lounge area for resting companions in sandbox mode.
- An intercom system that plays music uniformly throughout the Bunker.
- Easy to find with active map marker when you start a new game.
- Designed, Cleaned and Converted for maximum compatibility and minimum footprint.
Installation:
Download and unzip "Survivalist Bunker.esm" and "Survivalist Bunker.bsa" to the /Data folder.
Uninstall:
Delete "Survivalist Bunker.esm" and "Survivalist Bunker.bsa" from the /Data folder.
