I'm not totally sure what you mean. Are you talking about the Mojave Express Dropboxes? They're in the base game; check out the link there.

    Minor update time:

    Version 1.0.2 (10-08-11)
    - The 'Librarian Of The Wastes' and 'Well-Read' perks are no longer awarded to the player character based on the number of books read, since it turns out the game also counts magazines as 'books' in this regard.
    - Fix to scripts checking the number of doses of LOTW chems taken by the player character; previously it was possible to take one more dose than was intended to be possible.

wizzydizzy: The game has a 'books read' stat (that you can find in your Pip-Boy). LOTW checks this stat; it doesn't track the number of books read itself. I didn't realise that the game counted skill magazines as 'books' (I guess I was taking it too literally; magazines do not equal books, in my mind). I barely ever used skill magazines myself; that was one of the reasons I made this mod: it gave skill magazines another use.

So that's annoying. I'll probably change that part of the mod (should I update it again) so that you can't be awarded the perks in that way; you have to select them during level up or character generation.

I'm hesitant to add the biannuals to the exchange service because the number of skill magazines you can find in-game is effectively unlimited.

Did you make magazines count as books for acquiring the perks on purpose?
It makes things pretty easy. You can get both perks before even leaving Goodsprings for the first time.

I now realize what you meant by exploiting a biannual exchange option; one could get a high critical chance in no time...
But what about allowing exchange of biannuals with the exception of "True Police Stories"?

I'm really looking forward to trying this. Such a cool idea!

wizzydizzy: I have thought about it yes; but decided against it. I think it would be too open to exploitation.

Have you thought about adding the biannuals to the Mojave exchange service as well?
Later in your game, there's no need to improve some skills anymore, but you might still have enough magazines to craft biannuals for that particular skill.
Being able to exchange those would make more important skills further benefit from your mod.

Somewhat overdue, but LOTW v1.0.1 is now available:

    Version 1.0.1 (17-06-11)
    - Recipes for magazine 'Annuals' changed to 'Biannuals'; in other words they only require 6 matching magazines now, rather than 12, as before.
    - There is now a 'service charge' associated with using the Mojave Book Exchange service; see the 'Description' and 'Playing The Mod' sections for more information.
    - Each dose of Ox-Innate now increases carry weight by 5, rather than 10, as before.
    - Fixes to tracking quest so that it doesn't try to award LOTW perks that the player already has.
