Today I downloaded JIP Companions Command & Control and, after a bit of getting used to it (I always used Remote Control Companions) I've found that this mod works well with it. The only reason, really, that I switched from RCC was having the avatars onscreen. If b3w4r3 (somehow) added that into his I'd stick with that instead :-)

In JIP CC&C I read through making a custom avatar but, I really couldn't be bothered with it all. Plus I use Paint.net and that's just terrible for finicky things.
Instead I used the first screenshot here and made a small avatar of his face, resized it and added it in. It looks alright, still.

After a long time in Skyrim and various other games I've forgotten a lot of things, such as making followers. So, either JIP CC&C or RCC I recommend using with this, especially for those commands that don't work. Which is most of them, I think :/

needs a cook option since he is essentially a mobile campire with his flame

by the way he does -scracth his head and chiiter in agreement.

Also HE WON'T STAY STILl i tell him to wait but the next time I come near him he follows me.

I call him flame and I use setname in console to set it ,but everytime I load the game his name is gone

You can use the GECK to assign the vanilla fire gecko nif file+texture to the creature, instead of having to fish the texture out from the .bsa and replacing the one in the folder. Thought someone might find this handy.

how can i use your mod which allow me to talk to the gecko
but use the small gecko ?

The small gecko is the best companion but i want to use the wheel commands or at least talk to it as stay - wait - go-

EDIT- i set his size for 0.7 - same as the small.
BUG - he is floating few inches above the ground.
it is not very easy to see and i dont mine it but if i can fix it in any way it will be awesome ..

Great mod- and this is the best mod companion ever..

@Tranquillus: About the growing part, if I knew where to start, how to do it he could start off as just an egg. Cart that around for a little while and every however many hours, days, weeks he would grow just that little bit more, maybe as the player levels up or just as time goes on.

Your comment about you adding to his size each time you level up gave me that idea :-)

@jim_uk: Oops, I have pictures set to not auto-approve. Maybe I should change that as I haven't been around here for a while.
Will add it to the gallery, thanks :-)

Edit: Awesome shot. Bravery indeed! :-D
