Works great! Makes for an interesting experience, but the NPCs don't actually utilize the mods. They have them in their inventories but never attach them to the weapons. A bit of an unbalanced gameplay change, but fun nonetheless
FNVEdit shows that the WME version is the "reasonably rare" (according to the filename) with primers and powders, and doesn't require the main file. It's stand-alone.
awesome mod, you should ask the guy who made classic fallout weapons if you can add his mods to this list since I can never find them in any other lists (seriously its hair pulling out level of frustration!) I thank you with an endorsement!
Thanks for your work on this Iain Chambers. Great idea, can't believe this had to be modded into the game. I'm looking forward to trying this for the first time.
It's not clear in the Description, I'm guessing since all versions (including the optional) have the same name, we should only pick one version.
If you don't have the time could you tell me how to change the Rarity. I would like the medium version "A bit Common" and would give it a shot to change it for myself.
This is a great idea! I have to agree with webster63 also. This is exactly how it should have been to begin with. Baker80 -> Supposedly WMX added a chance to find weapon mods in loot but I haven't found one yet so it might be Adam Baldwin rarity. 8-) Wish they had the different odds to pick from like this.

any updates planned to add the DLC weapons? like the HH 45 pistol/smg?
