I like this starter pack. If some folks don't like the sniper rifle change it to a decked-out varmint rifle. You can use the rifle you get from Sunny to repair this one. Ah yes! I like the shades to.
I'm sorry you don't like the mod. Its intended to give you a decent start to the game, NOT to introduce weapons or other unbalancing aspects. Feel free to not use the mod if you don't like it, but at least offer constructive criticism instead of being a negative nancy.
I loaded this for the first time yesterday or the day before on a new playthrough. VERY GOOD.
It gave me the option of having a decent beginning rifle without overpowering the game. Fits my play style very well. I ended up dumping everything from the Packs but the Weathered 10mm and the Vault 13 "armor". I also didn't use the Recon Armor, for fear of making it too easy. However, the armor was very appreciated, and a newer to the game player would make good use of it.
I will add this as a must have mod for all starting games from here on out.
I've been trying to nail down the problem with the mods (scope etc) not showing up. It appears to happen with WMX installed. I may have to contact the author of that mod, but Im thinking first of just putting the base gun and the mods for it in as separate objects...dunno.
Not sure if it's because of the WMX Weapon Mods I have installed or the load order, but when I bring out the 'Light Recon Sniper Rifle' it shows an unmodified varmint rifle. (Note this was loaded after WMX).
Still had the problem when it was loaded before WMX. It has all the effects, but doesn't show any mods.
For who people who dont get this, Start a new game. I really like this mod and i can get a story in my head and the one who sended the message is a woman yes? then she could be your sister or Girlfriend you met durning training and if you were female it could with a other doesnt have to change to a male. Thanks for giving us this awesome mod

No need if it's just vanilla assets. A more detailed description would be nice in that case.
