it is not needful to try and make the enemies in Fallout: New Vegas more combat tactic savvy. They don't need help rushing, and or killing you.... The REAL problem is that the enemies have no sense of self-preservation! And the sheer amount of kinetic/stabbing damage they can suffer before they actually die, is absolutely unrealistic and immersion-breaking. You don't rush directly at somebody shooting at you; this is absolutely suicidal. Wouldn't happen, even in a Post Apocalyptic World. Somebody stabs at you with a shovel, rake, machete or knife, you duck, dodge or jump back At least, until you have taken time to assess the danger, looked for an opening in the enemy's defenses...Which the enemies in Fallout NV (also Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Skyrim) NEVER do.... Moreover, even have the enemy has suffered a near mortal wound, they don't let you alone from then on out. Just as soon as you have broken off combat for some 10-15 seconds, they automatically rapidly begin to regenerate and attack you, again! You with programming/modding skills need to address the situation, and work on fixing THIS.
